BSLHA is a 24/7 on demand video interpreting service for any public health care requirement in the UK where access to BSL interpretation is not available.
@Saltbar Sorry Tony 😞. We’re still working hard to reopen BSLHA as we understand its a critical service for many! Unfortunately, we have no update at this time. 👎🏻
@NHSEngland@NHSImprovement
Important Information: The BSL Health Access service will close at midnight tonight, March 31st 2021. The service will no longer be available after that time. More information is available on our website. https://t.co/d31DUbzHpP
When it comes to treating a #stroke, time is critical to improve the chances of a good recovery.
The #ActFAST campaign, led by @NHSEngland & @PHE_uk, helps you understand how to identify early signs of stroke and seek immediate help.

@lovetennisni @AlimJayda @JWatsonONeill@NHSEnglandLDN@Interpreter_Now This is correct. InterpreterNow & SignVideo have access to various NHS Trusts and deliver NHS111 & NHS119.
@AlimJayda @NHSEnglandLDN So sorry this is still happening Alim. We're so disappointed in the lack of support from those in charge to ensure services like ours continue to provide access to those who need it, without relying on family/friends. We haven't given up yet! Hope all is well with your parents.
@S4HLimited@Interpreter_Now@NHSEngland @liverpoolccg - Another reason why BSL Health Access should have been funded and kept open for both deaf people and NHS staff to use during this pandemic!
We need @BSLHealthAccess, a video relay service that provides 24/7 access between Deaf people and health providers. It removes barriers and saves lives. @wesstreeting@SamTarry can you help ensure @NHSEngland continues funding this service beyond March 31?
@hccath 2/2 Possible update on our/SignHealth's website soon. As the service is now closed our full focus is to work hard on reestablishing the service for the long term. Feel free to send us an email re stats. Thanks.
@hccath 1/2 Those would be good stats to see. Not a report as such but the access to stats we have currently are that 61% of conversations through the service involved GPs, while 18% were held in hospitals. The gathering of more information will be happening in the backround.
@biggsfe We're so sorry we had to close. We're still working so hard in the background to ensure this service isn't gone forever. We'll update everyone as soon as we get any news. Stay safe.
@_emmacheryl@LiamODellUK@NHSEngland Please do sign the petition. We're still working hard in the background to ensure the service is reestablished for the long term. https://t.co/y3qXnFUQlX
Feeling ill, if you can hear, you can pick up the phone & speak to your GP - what do you do if you’re #deaf ?? @BSLHealthAccess has been a lifeline and it closes today. It should be core funded @NHSuk@NHSEngland@EveryDoctorUK@JujuliaGrace please spread the word
Thank you for your support for BSL Health Access! The petition is gathering loads of signatures and we think now is the time to ask your MP for support if you haven’t already.
