In honor of Día de los Muertos, Ms. Ferreira’s students have created beautiful artwork and Shoebox Ofrendas, each dedicated to remembering someone special in their lives. Their heartfelt creations are now decorating her classroom and will be on display in the Parent Room (102).
Update on the 2024-2025 school year calendar:
Schools will now be closed on Monday, December 23, 2024, extending Winter Recess for NYC Public Schools through January 1, 2025.

BSSJ Class of 2025 captured their Cap & Gown photo to add to their yearbook during Senior Picture Day. BSSJ staff joined in by having their yearbook photo taken. La clase de BSSJ de 2025 capturó su foto de toga y birrete para agregarla a su anuario durante el Senior Picture Day.
It was suggested (Thank you Ms. Whitley) that the BSSJ Morning Broadcast (Thank Popper) should welcome song requests. Several students of the Broadcast Club therefore created this awesome request box for students and staff to request and dedicate songs for the DJs to consider.
NHS/PA held a bake sale to raise funds to donate to Make the Stride Breast Cancer Foundation. Student Government and NHS will be participating in the walk on Sunday, October 27th in Coney Island.

There will be 2 sessions: May 15th and 29th from 5:30p-7:30p. If you attend both, you will receive a $50 giftcard and an addition $10 if you complete the survey.

Due to expected severe weather conditions, New York City Public Schools will pivot to remote learning on Tuesday, February 13.
While buildings are closed, school will be in session remotely for all students.
