Some people May see this and think so what? But actually for us in A&E this is crucial. If ward patients leave early it means beds for our admitted patients. This means better care for them and the newly arriving patients we need to take care of. This is why it’s so important.

The ‘Butterfly Effect’ of not discharging a patient because we failed to get a blood test before the Care Home cut off time is not felt on that ward, but in admissions, then ED, then the ambulance that can’t offload, and then the unseen patient waiting at home. https://t.co/A42eXI80tG
