Week 5 of @SingaporeAir failing to deal and respond to customers. Sent two conflicting responses over 5 weeks and then when I replied last week, still no response. To be fair, did take a month for them to reply originally. @UK_CAA@MartinSLewis
What @SingaporeAir tell you originally is the reason for a flight cancellation, then when you claim compensation under law, they provide a different reason after a month of investigating’ and no communication. I replied- no response. @UK_CAA
Entering the 4th week now and still radio silence @SingaporeAir awaiting our compensation as per law. We have in writing from the airline the flight was cancelled due to technical issues with the plane.

Over 3 weeks ago we were made to sit on a @SingaporeAir plane on Manchester runway for over 4 hours, informed the flight was cancelled due to technical difficulties with the plane and still no compensation (legal requirement over 4 hours and 3000km flight) @MartinSLewis@UK_CAA
@SingaporeAir About 20 mins ago, live chat, advised that it was escalated AGAIN and that people will be in touch. Funnily enough, had the same responses for 3 weeks so just assume you are not interested in your customers or laws
@YakinRubaiat@SingaporeAir Couldn’t agree more! We had our flight cancelled after being sat on a runway for over 4 hours. Told and written to that it was due to a technical fault with the plane. Put our claim in for compensation (UK law entitlement) guess who’s delayed sorting it for over 3 weeks? 😴

@UK_CAA@SingaporeAir That flight was to Australia, we have received an email stating the flight was cancelled due to technical issues. We have chased and chased, yet we get told it’s still being investigated so there’s nothing they can do. Avoiding our right to claim. @SingaporeAir
@UK_CAA We sat on @SingaporeAir flight SQ301 on 15/08/25 at Manchester runway for nearly 5 hours due to technical issues with the plane. It got cancelled. We put in a claim, using this law the UK and EU impose, yet we are still waiting and being dismissed by them. Advice? Law is law, no?
@SingaporeAir So I was asked to accept a new flight with a different airline, did that. Lost my extra legroom seat that was booked to aid my hip and its metal pins. Checked in with new airline and now miss out on a voucher you’ve given all SIA passengers?! Wow.
@SingaporeAir Thank you. A technical fault can’t be helped but it has delayed our trip and we sat in a seat for well over 4 hours. The flight has now come through cancelled to confirm all of this.
