A follow up for presenters
When we determine a new date, current presenters will be invited to present and provided opportunity to consider and respond. We will open a CFP after that for more opportunities and to fill in where presenters may not be able to make the new date.
@IAintShootinMis Not currently for the April time scheduled time. We are considering options for later this year, virtual included.
One of the great benefits of BSides is the time spent with peers and friends. Another is the opportunity to form new friendships.
It is important for us to connect as a community but at this time it is more important to act responsibly based on the data at hand. We will refund attendees, coordinate with speakers and sponsors, and reschedule later this year.
Tickets for the April event are being refunded.
Respecting our community's needs, including their health concerns, we are postponing BSides Chattanooga until later this year. We appreciate our volunteers, attendees, sponsors, and workers' commitment and now their understanding. 1/2
Planning a conference is generally stressful enough, but right now it's an high anxiety endeavor. Our show isn't until August, but all the same... My sympathies to anyone having to go virtual, cancel, or postpone their events.
@hackByNumbers@LaNMaSteR53 We are monitoring and assessing the situation and working with our partners. Look for a decision by end of week or start of next week.
Please tag us and send a message to [email protected] for any cancellations or postponements of BSides events so we can keep the calendars and wiki up to date. Be safe everyone!
Thanks

@shortxstack Also do the basics. Run the S3 Analyzer, AWS Inspector, and look at the IAM Analyzer. Don't ignore what they are already checking for you. Whether you just look at the reports or dump into Cloudwatch.
