@SamGradyWrites@mattyglesias There are some nonprofits working with governments to train them on their approaches so that gov safety net programs become more effective. Village Enterprise is doing this with the poverty graduation approach in Rwanda for example.
@mattyglesias Have you heard of Village Enterprise? They do similar work in Rwanda and other countries in Africa but offer a cash-plus approach (training, startup cash, business mentoring, access to a savings group) so people in extreme poverty can become entrepreneurs.
