@Sunne_Three I might be stupid but what does it change that the exploit is released now or in one year, other than more recent supported FW versions or supported games? AFAIK, no new hardware is planned for the Switch 2.
What's the trigger point that we're waiting for revealing the exploit?
@Eliza_Artz_Alt@Thezj4ke@Eliza_Artz@Getlucky12341 Unnecessary crashout aside, you know those game keycards depend on Nintendo's servers to be downloaded, right?
What's gonna happen to those when they pull the plug (which will probably be in a long time, but will happen eventually)?
That's what the dude was implying.
@LWYRUPszn@Villgecrazylady You can't install plugins on Chrome for Android, which is what 90% of what people use to browse the web on Android (which is what the malware seems to be targeting).
@EpicGames "Programming is hard", my brother in Christ, you guys made the fucking Unreal Engine. Creating a games launcher is child's play in comparison.
I guess you fired all of the programmers then.
@SharpBrambles@humidspark But you've confirmed that you understand absolutely nothing about any of this works, so I'm just wasting my time with an armchair specialist.
@SharpBrambles@humidspark Yes, what you're mentioning are ports. Still talking out of your ass like usual.
Do you know what a fucking codebase is?
Since you seem to be a specialist, can you prove me, right here, right now, that this thing was done using MK8's original codebase or a decompilation?
@SharpBrambles@humidspark Dude, you're the one that started getting snarky when I started refuting you with facts. You keep hammering down "it's a port, it's a port I tell you", when it's obviously not.
It's similar, sure. But is it an identical experience to MK8? No. So it's a clone.
@SharpBrambles@humidspark I'm talking about very factual things here.
Have you ever played MK8? It doesn't look like this at all.
Have you ever programmed anything, ever?
You seem to love talking out of your ass.
If this project doesn't reuse the game's original code, it's not a port. Period.
@SharpBrambles@humidspark If it was a port, you'd have:
- The same UI
- The same render engine, complete with shaders
- The same physics engine
- Same everything, really
Considering how weird the karts, shaders and handling looks compared to MK8, if it was a port they must've really messed something up.
@SharpBrambles@humidspark That's not what a port is. A port is when you take the original source code of something and make it run on other hardware with minimal changes.
Copying the functionality of something with new code is a clone.
@SharpBrambles@humidspark It's not even a port, it's more like a clone reusing the original game's assets.
If it was a port, it wouldn't look or feel that different compared to the original MK8.
Also, MK8 is 12 years old now, we're getting into retro game territory here.
@carlosmartin_87@OldsKoolxd@Alex95Md@analistadebits The PS5 consumes about 220W when gaming. The Switch 2 consumes about 20-25W. See the difference? Also, tell me how you're gonna dissipate 220W of heat in such a small chassis...
