Take a deep breath, employ some patience, critical thinking and reasoning, and spare us your histrionics, Premier Smith & Dr. Peterson:
https://t.co/TsyNhTkb6D
Smith is not campaigning on the centrepiece of her leadership race (Sovereignty Act) or items in her mandate letters to ministers (replacing CPP and RCMP). But, a reasonable question is what Smith and the UCP will do if re-elected? Do these important policies return?
@OmarAlghabra@HaltonWomensPl What the hell is the matter with you people?! Prancing, laughing like it’s fun and games?! Your behaviour is degrading women. Instead of acting like clowns, fix our Justice system.
@JamieSale Cutting and pasting ad nauseam from your book of platitudes (as has been your wont) does not amount to making a cogent argument, but it's at least merely obnoxious. This, however--comparing public health measures here to what's happening in China--is obscene.
@TheoFleury14 Yet apparently content among all the other brain dead types the platform attracts, right?
(Can't even believe I'm responding to this moronic, baiting tripe in kind...oh well, there's a first time for...here goes.)
@klaszus Season’s greetings! From jolly St. Nicholas…or perhaps, his darker counterpart Krampus? Given the expression in this photo, I confess it’s not immediately obvious which!
(Either way, still listening faithfully)
@davidwees It teases us with a window into a world that promises apparent certainty (2+2 always =4; never 5), but then gets more mysterious (perhaps even weirdly problematic) the deeper in we investigate...Sorry, I don't know if that's wrong or not.
Courageous commentary from Heather Campbell: The Convoy movement isn’t about Covid or Freedom. It’s about disabling democracy to boost White Supremacy. https://t.co/oHUPNhvTd5 via @calgaryherald
@alfiekohn Have not read Ms. D-H in context, but I take this as a welcome, gently provocative, humorous encouragement to consider how we infants—learners par excellence—went about our daily business, and how in the classroom we’d do well to protect that innate curiosity from regimentation.
@Citizens4equ Feel heartened by the many objections to increasing tools of violence in the classroom, here in this thread.
Also feeling pulled into another question: How do we issue a full-throated condemnation of evil, and at the same time avoid becoming hate-filled ourselves?
A gender perspective is indispensable for understanding mass shootings, conflict and war. The overwhelming majority of perpetrators of lethal violence are men, yet most men never fire a weapon in anger. How come? This is a thread with examples of relevant research.
