A custom created facelit & uplit ceiling logo, a sweet backlit lighted sign, and an addition to their Stanley Cup champs display.

There truly is no place like home. And Maverick fans made home one of the loudest and most packed barns to play in this year in the NCAA!
We can't thank the best fans in college hockey enough for showing up and bringing the energy to every single game this season!

Where do we start..
-First head coach in program history
-Integral part of bringing our new home, Baxter Arena, to life
-2005 CCHA Coach of the Year
-Three-time finalist for CCHA and Spencer Penrose National Coach of the Year
-Holds program record for most wins in a season (24, 2001-02) and home wins (17, 2001-02)
-Led the Mavericks to their initial appearance in the NCAA Tournament which, at the time, was the fastest a team had qualified for the NCAA Tournament from program inception
-In his tenure, Maverick hockey became a national leader in college hockey attendance, a tradition that continues today
-Coached five All-Americans while at Omaha and had a total of twelve All-CCHA players in the 10 years he coached in the league
Coach, we can’t thank you enough for everything you have done not only for Omaha Hockey, but also the sport and the entire Omaha community over the last 27 years.

And the Mavericks helmet goes to...Suslow!
Play of the game last night for the Mavs.
SCSU scores to start the 2nd period to go up two goals. Omaha challenges for offsides and wins the challenge.
You've gotta be dialed to make this call in 15 seconds. Fantastic.
A season-high 31 saves, including all three in the shootout and a game-changing challenge.
This locker room is a special place. Let's keep it rolling!
