Running a Bitcoin node should be as simple as clicking “Start Node.”
No config hell. No gatekeeping. Just sovereignty.
Now anyone can do exactly that, the first alpha release of the Bitcoin Knots Portable repo is live.

Imagine working until you’re 90 just to survive.
That was reality for this small mountain town, until one couple showed up with a plan that changed everything 🏔️@Evelynlemus2906
They hate Bukele because they can't be loved like Bukele. They can't fix problems like Bukele fixes problems. No matter what anyone says, Bukele is what El Salvador needed and, very probably, needs. El Salvador is a superior country.
And that's a FACT.
.@SuperteamUKR and I don't share a common blockchain. But after meeting the team here in Kyiv I can say we do share goals: the future of Ukraine, and ultimately the free world.
So I'm happy to join them as a member of @Solana Superteam Ukraine to assist with their charity works, and contribute to the Ukrainian blockchain community. Who knows, they might even come to like Lightning!
Remember: 'Fees are the filter' ignores incentives. Payments have thin margins, speculation doesn’t.
Ordinal/inscription trades can justify higher fees, so blockspace goes to them, pricing out monetary users.

Inscriptions, Ordinals...
The Greater Fool Theory describes a speculative strategy where an "investor" buys an overvalued asset not because of its intrinsic worth, but because they believe a "greater fool" will pay an even higher price in the future.

@cguida6@BTCtoOblivion@TomerStrolight Pruned nodes verify every transaction since the genesis block. They don't save them, but they do verify them. I can also check my TxIDs and addresses without relying on third parties.
The most important thing: it's a Knots node 😉
First Bitcoin block signals BIP-110 and… nothing explodes. Weird. I was promised a chain split and wallet doom 😅
Must be that invisible FUD fork 👻
#rugTheSpammers#runKnots#signalBIP110
90 minutes ago, @BarefootMining found block #938903.
As part of constructing and mining their own block using DATUM, they also signaled readiness for activation of a soft fork.
They did this entirely independently of their pool.
OCEAN is designed such that miners can perform the full spectrum of mining, and actually take a direct role in coordinating network upgrades. That includes constructing their own block templates and deciding when, and whether, to signal.
OCEAN restores agency to miners.
Back in 2017, Slush Pool let miners express their preference during the SegWit activation debate:
https://t.co/M56GSh6CXc
OCEAN takes that one step further by reducing the pool’s role even more. Through DATUM, miners construct their own templates and embed their own signal directly in the blocks they mine. Further still - any blocks they find get broadcast directly to the network without needing to pass through a middle man.
Fork proposals are part of Bitcoin’s maturation. We encourage miners to study BIP-110, form their own view, and signal accordingly.
Your hash. Your choice.
Blocked by this 500k-follower spammer/scammer I’ve never tagged or interacted with.
Didn’t know my 700-follower pleb account posed that level of threat.
Feeling important 😎

@JuergenStrobel@BTCOVERFIAT@A86664949 I asked for a reason, not a vibe. If there’s a concrete risk with BIP110, name it.
“No peer review” and “madman at the wheel” are governance complaints about Knots, not an argument against the proposal itself.
@GhostofMapl Just one person? Interesting. You’re giving him an impressive amount of airtime for someone so irrelevant, or he must be incredibly powerful for the way you obsess over him. 😉
