My friend just created a website that tracks every single immigration NGO in the west with their funding $ numbers, phone number, names and addresses

@MaoiliosaRey The problem is our energy generation, not it's use. We pay for wind turbines to be turned off to keep the grid stable, wasting more energy than the data centres use in total.
Bitcoin fixes this by zero curtailment, instant ramp up or down flexibility, improving grid stability.
Ireland has a growing datacenter 'issue'. Every day, datacenters now consume 22GWh of energy from the grid... Enormous!!
We also have a wind energy problem. 29GWh was curtailed yesterday.. *more* energy than all datacenters here used.
This should signal to even non engineers: "intermittents just can't power datacenters"

@PaulMcWeeneyNP Drop the CO2 narrative. It's not a pollutant or a temperature dial since it follows temperature changes, doesn't precede them and we need more of it.
@Michael88620462@SaveEuropeAct It doesn't work in brave but does in chrome. The adblockers prevent it from working correctly even though there are no ads on it.
#Nimbyism Nuclear power plants must keep radiation doses to the public below 0.3 mSv/year the same limit already applied to hospitals and industries using radioactive sources in ireland. Natural background radiation is ~4 mSv/year. Nuclear is regulated to 13× below background.
