Change the LLM input data and the whole study is in question though.
I'm saying: don't you feel like X and other popular social media bring out a substantially more toxic version of humanity? Do you disagree that LLMs would change their outlook on humanity if it were given real human data rather than only online data which is mostly toxic?
@nntaleb Another problem is that some adults are so wordy that they make massive novels from average shower-thoughts that could be explained in an X post.
And even their X posts are made obtuse by over-wording.
@abledoc@nntaleb YES!!! I've been saying this for a while now.
Did you pickup the Intelligence Amplifier moniker from Brian Roemmele too?
If not, I think you would dig his work.
@Turnfeed@GamesOverland@turnfeed I think you're on to something, I feel pretty uneasy letting the agents rip. Even learning how to do really good spot testing will help, while critical projects should be thoroughly reviewed. Good for later scaling. Thanks! Very helpful๐๐
@Turnfeed@GamesOverland@bot please get my GrokBot to craft 15 minute daily lessons for what I need to know of the above, for an intermediate-technical vibe coder. Assume I know nothing about that specific subject, I want to begin ground up, first principles. Thanks!
Example: I got rid of QuickBooks cause all I used it for was invoicing! Used Warp ADE (great coding platform!) to build it out nice and quick, free from $30/mo sub and I own my data. Next step: pipe accounting data into the spreadsheet I actually use.
Also rebuilt and deployed my contractor website on Vercel for free. Save $20-30/mo on hosting + I own the code now.
Beautiful!!
@realBrandonGill The Trump 2.0 admin is so terrible and corrupt that independents can't tell which is worse.
What a terrible tragedy. There was so much hope in early 2025.
@dbongino And the Epstein files STILL aren't released in full. Campaign Bongino was right, Admin Bongino is a lying sack of smelly turd.
Never let the Epstein Files go.
Dude @scotthortonshow , this is unrelated, but man I thought your interview with Robert Wright was anti-libertarian, even though I love your stuff and largely agreed with the points that were brought up by both you and Robert.
Let me explain.
Setup: straight into Doomer narrative and super-national government structures to protect the poor helpless people. Brief mention that AI can do a lot of good, but 95% or more was threat assessment.
No mention of AI hacking hugging face as a potential psyop to encourage regulatory capture and boost IPO value.
The absurd self-replicating nuke analogy. Question: when has a nuclear bomb done any good for humanity?! At least compare it to self replicating nuclear energy which can do great good as well as harm, that's a fair comparison.
I was relieved at the end when avoiding regulatory capture was brought up, but you're talking about doing that through MORE GOVERNMENT POWER. My God man!
Then at the end when open source was FINALLY introduced, it was done in a disparaging way!! Like "if SUPER-GOVERNMENTS don't CONTROL this and keep it from the hands of regular builders, it will be catastrophic!" type thing. That's anti-libertarian as can be!!! If anything, I feel like we need a second Second Amendment for open source, local AI! Open sourcing the models might be the only way to AVOID a dystopian full psyop future.
Zero talk about how AI can be customized to deliver unbiased news and identify psyops, zero talk about how libertarians can build freedom tools, zero talk about using AI and 3D printing to localize supply chains and so much more that could have been discussed.
In my opinion, it is a libertarian failure to examine how this technology could level the playing field between individuals vs state.
I'd like to see a redo with a different guest. I'd love to see @brianroemmele due to deep domain expertise and libertarian leanings, but failing that I could give it a good go.
PS I only bothered to make this comment because I love your stuff and I've seen you firsthand intake new info and admit you were wrong. Don't let this critique fool you.
Announcing the launch of the Scott Horton Academy of Foreign Policy and Freedom!
In collaboration with the great @ThomasEWoods, I've put together this project featuring long-form courses by me, @JimBovard, @RamzyBaroud and @wbuppert, with more coming soon...
@oldstackjournal I'm working on launching a little SaaS at https://t.co/mvQxeMSbrz, where contractors can post jobs, laborers can apply, get hired, and 2 way reviews.
Also built my own accounting software to replace QuickBooks ๐
Thx for asking!
Do you know the meaning of the @NousResearch logo?
The girl is called the "Nous Girl". She was drawn in July 2023 by Nous's first artist, who goes by John Galt. Yes, the Atlas Shrugged rebel
She stands for the rebellion of decentralized AI, and for keeping our humanity in the face of censorship and machine intelligence
The words around her: "Rebellion to tyrants is obedience to God."
That line goes back to 1776. Jefferson, Franklin and Adams put it on their proposed Great Seal of the United States. Congress said no, so Jefferson put it on his own personal seal instead
Nous pointed it at AI. Today's tyrants are closed labs and gatekeepers deciding who gets access to intelligence. The rebellion is open weights, open agents and open infrastructure.
That's why I build on Hermes
