Welcome to @_BTO Derry/Londonderry. We are always ready to welcome new volunteers and value the great work of those already involved in BTO-led surveys. If you are interested in contributing to bird monitoring and conservation, please get in touch!
We all need a refresher this time of year as our avian songsters become more vocal.
So as part of #Belfast2024 we're running an event with local expert Stephen Hewitt to get us in tune.
This Sat 23rd March meet at Victoria Park Car Park at 10am.

I know: it's baffling that I never made it as a #BluePeter presenter.
@MSAssocs @BTO_NIreland It was a great afternoon of birding! I missed out on the Curlew Sandpiper but a great variety of birds overall! Thanks so much for all your help Michael.
Great that @WeBS_UK are encouraging people to love a plover on #PloverAppreciationDay.
Three of the six plovers in their graphic are red-listed.

The new programme of lectures for Cookstown Wildlife Trust. The first meeting takes place this evening with a talk by @_Stickybeak on the wildlife wonders of Rathlin Island.
On #WaderWednesday let's salute the amazing GREAT SNIPE.
They can fly almost high enough to clear the top of Everest.
They fly twice as high when migrating during daylight hours, when compared to at night.
