@FlorenceKel8 You fight and disagree with whites, but they won’t listen because they’re stuck on their ways of believing their superior to us, so even if we say we are an equal people, all there gonna say is “really in what ways“. We need to focus on our industrial skills to prove them wrong.

I’m an educator, reformer, and an influential black leader. I believe that blacks need to accept discrimination for now and we currently must concentrate on bringing ourselves higher and succeeding through our hard work and prosperity.

I believe it’s better to remain separate from whites than to attempt desegregation as long as whites granted their black countrymen and women access to economic progress, education, and justice under U.S. courts. I feel if we can achieve this, whites will respect us.

I believe in education, industrial and farming skills. I believe if we can accomplish this we can gain the respect of the white people and in time become fully accepted citizens. By focusing on work we can show we are capable as they are and we can earn respect from them.
