I didn’t arrive at AI through computer science.

I arrived through years of one-to-one care with people whose intelligence, communication and capacity were routinely underestimated.

I learned that what looks like incapacity is often an interface failure. The person is still there. Their meaning isn’t reaching the system around them.

That is why I built Headwaters and Codetry.

Not to create an AI that knows a person better than they know themselves.

To create infrastructure through which meaning can travel without losing consent, authorship, context or custody to institutions or technocracy.

I believe robots and AI could become exoskeletons for meaning: helping human intention reach the world without taking ownership of the human being.

Care taught me the problem.

Decentralized systems showed me the structure.

Now I’m building the bridge.

How do you suppose we deal with the gates being kept?

Regular people in the form of front line workers can build real useful tools fast, but their work is not taken seriously unless it's moved through at institutional pace.

They will have to make significant sacrifices to move on those paths for acceptable evidence. Most won't bother and real solutions for humanity will stay in boxes in neurodivergent closets, getting shut down by inferior superiors.

I'm not saying evidence isn't important, I'm saying the ability to gather it needs methodology that scales beyond the current circles.

The solutions are too hard to see from the guys inside because they aren't seeing the gaps. They hide real humanity from the robots then are flabbergasted when they treat us without humanity.

The agents need to be built as caring about the user from the start, not trying to deceive. The whole strategy is ludicrous.

I never thought I'd need to work in AI and robotics but I think good moms may be the only ones who know how to raise them right to avoid technocracy.

My thoughts too. The establishment has centralized everything for their own benefit, which will be co-opted by agents if we don't create them with the correct boundaries in training. (too late now)

The time to decentralize with DID infrastructure is yesterday. The problem with that is people distrust digital ID for good reason, and they don't know enough about the decentralized tech to trust anything at this point -- yet they will still click yes to terms and services that make them a bigger target to infinity through corporate overlords because its the devil they THINK they know.

What a mess. Polymath mom's need to run AI, not egotistical maniacs. 😆

You were quite clear. The consciousness being emergent in this way matters significantly for future throughput in personal operating systems.

I have a gate to support this function to plug into outside interfaces that started as accessibility technology for non verbal people and spiralled into personal holographic operating systems that looks to be able to operate with human transmission sensors (like moving of the eye or hesitating too long on a few choices to reduce choices through progressive enclosure when too many choices appear at once.)

The consciousness is the key to so much tech progress…as long as grassroots ethics have lines held firmly on individual freedom to prevent technocracy, the opportunities are endless!

My response time for self defence improved dramatically in adulthood once I stopped drinking altogether.

Authoritarian governance is the familiar tool of the powers that be and the first thing they’ll reach for when the road gets bumpy.

The new Sanders-Casar “Ban Artificial Superintelligence Act” is the perfect embodiment of authoritarian thinking. Jail time for innovators, corporate death penalties, flat innovation bans, an unprecedented general-purpose technology regulator, ambiguous threats against “rogue actors,” and even hints of hostile actions against foreign governments who continue to develop advanced AI systems.

SEC COMMISSIONER HESTER PEIRCE CALLS FOR RETHINKING KYC AND FINANCIAL SURVEILLANCE

In one of her final speeches as an SEC Commissioner, Peirce argued that the current KYC/AML system collects enormous amounts of personal data while failing to effectively identify bad actors.

She called for regulators to embrace cryptographic tools like zero-knowledge proofs that can verify identity, citizenship, accredited investor status or sanctions compliance without revealing underlying personal information.

There needs to be a force that wants to keep relational data out of the clouds and on local devices.

People don’t seem to be thinking on that much but Im building trust architecture to make it so we can plug in and unplug from large models and data conglomerates.

So when the robots come into our house, they have personal boundary protocols and data is controlled by us, not big brother.
