Summer workouts are less than 10% of your time. If you cannot carve out 4-7% of your week to train with your teammates & coaches then you are not a serious athlete. There is plenty of time left to work, swim, fish, sleep, etc. Get to workouts & get better!!

As a coach, former athlete, & parent living in @SouthFayetteSD, people always jokingly ask, “What’s in the water over there?” (Because of all the athletic success over the years).

This morning I went for a run at 7:30am (three days after school ended), & saw high school athletes running laps around campus, lacrosse players working on their game, & athletes running sprints on the football field.

The best part? It was all player-led. No coaches. No trainers. Just kids putting in extra work.

The truth is, there’s nothing in the water.

There’s just a culture of hard work = success.
