still can’t believe it’s actually over. a sad ending for a game that deserved better 💔
it has been an honor covering Destiny 2 for the last 9 years, through the reveals, raids, dungeons, stories, lifelong friendships, and unforgettable memories this community created together
thank you for sticking around for nearly a decade 🫶
I've rarely talked about how I actually got into Destiny.
I was clinically depressed. Heavy antidepressants, dosages being increased every few months; dropped out of school, barely leaving the house. Video games were one of the only things keeping me here, and I mean that literally.
I downloaded Destiny to kill time. A couple of years later I was 17, on a plane to the US for the first time in my life, alone, to meet people I'd only known online. Those same people telling me I should be a streamer, even sending me equipment as a broke teenager to start that journey.
A decade on, I think about how much I took that leap for granted. Destiny gave me lifelong friends, a career, a community I'm proud of every single day, and a version of myself I didn't think I'd ever get to meet.
Today's news is hard. But I will forever cherish this game and remember how much it did to improve my life. I'm grateful beyond words.
Forever grateful to this game and all the great people I met throughout it ✌️🤍
@DestinyTheGame At his funeral, Mr. John Destiny 2 would prefer that we celebrate all the good times, instead of focusing on his tragic end.
So let’s do that, guardians.
i didn't actually bungie would wrap it up. but june 9 is the last D2 update. and it has been a hell of a ride. i'll have a video talking about my thoughts.
The Destiny news hit me hard like many of you, more so because of what it symbolizes and the finality of it all. Destiny has easily been the most impactful game/franchise and allowed me so many opportunities and I'll forever be thankful for all the memories
When Formal baited Scump and made him die in CW Scrims 😭😭
Scump : "Dude why do I have to always bait?"
Formal : "Cause your definitely not gonna hit the shot" 😭
As a Halo fan, its WILD and disappointing to see so many top Halo players leave the Esport for CoD.
At the same time I respect it, and can't wait to see which players succeed.
This could be the biggest transition of talent in Halo Esports history:
