Brian the Lion

Hi I'm Brian, the official mascot of British Universities & Colleges Sport (BUCS) @BUCSsport

[Brian the Lion @BUCSLion]

Come and race me at #BUCSNationals in aid of the @dannyporterf 🦁

[BUCS @BUCSsport]

Brian the Lion and friends are back in aid of the @dannyporterf, a charity that raises funds to help in the fight against cancer in memory of Dan Porter, the late Head of Sport at @TeamHallam ❤️

Enter your mascot into the biggest race at #BUCSNationals 🦁🐻🐼🐶🦆🐦

It's RACEDAY 🦁🏆

Bring it on! #BUCSNationals

[BUCS @BUCSsport]

All the action from athletics and swimming will be livestreamed, including the highly anticipated mascot race! How are you feeling today Brian? @BUCSLion 🦁

[Brian the Lion @BUCSLion]

It's been a long two years.

Bring it on! #BUCSNationals

[BUCS @BUCSsport]

The mighty Brian the Lion 🦁

@BUCSLion has found a new training regime this year - CrossFit, and lots of it 💪

Let's hope it helps our mascot 'roar' to victory #BUCSNationals

[Brian the Lion @BUCSLion]

Might have to get some bamboo to cause a distraction at the start of the race 👀👀 @UoESportsunion

[BUCS @BUCSsport]

Next up it's Hector the Panda 🐼

We STRONGLY advise against bringing bamboo to #BUCSNationals otherwise Hector could run away with the mascot race title, and the bamboo...

[Brian the Lion @BUCSLion]

Gus is no match for a lion.

[BUCS @BUCSsport]

Meet Gus the Tiger 🐯👋

This year's mascot race representative for @UofGSport is hoping to rise to the challenge just like Rocky Balboa 🥊

We all need to see a victory parade to Eye of the Tiger if Gus wins at #BUCSNationals

[Brian the Lion @BUCSLion]

I've been training for the mascot race and people are wearing masks but not like mine.

Can someone explain what's happened since February 2020? 👀 @BUCSsport

[Brian the Lion @BUCSLion]

Hibernation season is over. I'm ready to run 🦁🏃 #BUCSNationals @BUCSsport

[Brian the Lion @BUCSLion]

@BUCSsport @SportLiverpool Are they planning on walking around the track! 🥱

[Brian the Lion @BUCSLion]

@SportLiverpool @BUCSsport You'll need to run faster than that to beat me!😂

[Brian the Lion @BUCSLion]

@AdrianChrismas @dannyporterf ...You'll be the sulking when you realise you wrote off the winner of the #BUCSMascotRace 🦁🥇

[Brian the Lion @BUCSLion]

I've been training for this all year... do you think you can beat me! 🏋️♂️

Sign up for the BUCS Mascot Race now. This year we're continuing to support @dannyporterf. 🏆
