If the Jays trade Chad Green, IKF, and Chris Bassitt - the last one the biggest *if* - they could go into the offseason with, conservatively, $65-$70M in 2025 payroll space. Go get a new GM that can spend it well & find some buy-lows, and you can see a path to fan buy-in in 2025.

I'll clarify -- go get a GM that fans will have faith can do those last things. I don't want to say Atkins has been a bad spender per se, just that whatever spending decisions he makes are unlikely to earn fan buy-in.
