Our season started last weekend!
At Greenhill, Brayden and Rohan finished in the octofinals. Brayden was the 12th speaker, Rohan was 3rd!
At Washburn Rural, Sophia and Ennie finished as octofinalists!
Jess and Sophia ended their season at NSDA.
Jess also ended her HS career. We’re so thankful for her time on the team. Along with her competitive success, she’s also an incredible mentor for younger debaters. She’s made a lasting impact on this program. thanks, Jess!
We’re at the @speechanddebate national tournament in Des Moines, Iowa.
Brayden and Rohan finished preliminary rounds with 9 ballots. They’re affirmative against Taipei in the first elimination round.

Congratulations to Rohan, Jess, Brayden and Sophia for winning the 5A 4-speaker State Championship! The team had a combined 16-0 record, winning 45 of 48 ballots.
Due to the weather we’re debating virtually at the Debate Coaches Invitiatonal, an invite-only tournament for the top 24 varsity teams in KS.
Both teams are debating in the elimination rounds.
Jess was 7th speaker
Rohan was 4th speaker
Brayden was the top overall speaker!
Congrats to 1st year debaters Cyrus Esmailzadeh/Rishi Shetty on their performance at the Georgetown University Tournament . After 3-0 victories over Kentucky/Emory in the Doubles/Octafinals, they closed out a Quarters bracket with Eleanor/Jiyoon, who advance to the Semifinals
We are off to a strong start in the 2nd semester at the Georgetown Tournament. Eleanor Barrett/Jiyoon Park went 7-0 and are the #1 seed after prelim rounds. They are debating Dartmouth in the Doubles. Avi Shah/Conner Shih and Cyrus Esmailzadeh/Rishi Shetty are also debating now.
