@AEW_Blog I think it has more to do with the talent around him than him. He got passed by others who stepped up and made the most of their opportunities. Sammy was always a good wrestler. No one questioned that. But when he got his moments it always felt flat. At least to me

2) The team didn't want the shadow of the past looming & feeling they needed to defer to guys like Kane

The team is still in the middle of rebuilding but is trying to push to contend now & the kids are establishing themselves

@AewDefender Honestly he just got lost in the shuffle. He's always been a good wrestler and can put on great matches with whomever he's put with but when you're in a company full of great wrestler's what separates you from everyone else?

@JMZygmunt11 @Mario_Tirabassi It would be nice to have both but sometimes it just doesn't work out. I get the idea of drafting Levshunov because of how rare and valuable top RHD are. Hasn't worked out but there's still PLENTY of time for him and KK to develop into good NHL players

@weaselsonice @Mario_Tirabassi Outside of the fact that they're are/were also rebuilding? Not much. They've all been different rebuilds which is kinda my point. People wanna compare it to what they did but what the Hawks did was complete different tearing it down completely. So naturally it'll take long

@JMZygmunt11 @Mario_Tirabassi out what you have with these guys first instead of dipping into FA and signing a bunch of vets instead. If we don't see improvements over the next year then you can start to make decisions and move pieces around but until then let the kids play and find their game

@JMZygmunt11 @Mario_Tirabassi There were mistakes made in drafting and development for sure but that happens in a rebuild. It's why you need as many picks as possible to stock the cupboard up for when those they/we expect to hit don't. That's why I'm a bit surprised by the fact that so many people expect them

The injuries to Bedard & Nazar changed the trajectory of last season, but at the same time we're really still just seeing the rollout of phase 2 of the rebuild happen where we're getting to see the prospects arrive and find their game in the league

@GregBoysen pushing the same 4-5 people at the top than pushing anyone new and building some legitimate depth to the roster. This is where AEW is light-years ahead of anything WWE is doing. A top guy like Hangman or Kenny or Will can take months off and they don't skip a beat
