I was in Office Depot looking at printers. The clerk Amanda asked what I was using it for. I told her I was a teacher using it to print different things. A gentlemen behind me overheard the conversation and bought the printer for me because he loves teachers. Thanks Jim.
Q2. I have always loved sports, and kids get a kick out of it when they realize I know who their favorite musicians and athletes are. I also like to make sure they know some of their dislikes about school are ok to feel, and we can work together to fix it! #glenwoodkidsdeserveit
My favorite moment as an educator is when you can see actual joy on their faces when they come to school. They are ready to be with friends and make new discoveries. #glenwoodkidsdeserveit
Brittany Bookout, 4th grade at Glenwood. I had a goal to pour into myself some, so I could get healthy and have more energy for the next school year! #GlenwoodKidsDeserveIt
A4 I am hoping to take advantage of Schoology this year to prepare for my class. I also plan to send home a get to know me questionnaire after open house to get them engaged and allowing me to already find connections.#GlenwoodKidsDeserveIt
A3 I called a parent to let her know how well her son had been improving in math and science. I had taken over his class mid year. She was in tears saying she used to have to beg her son to get on the bus before, and now he loved school again! #GlenwoodKidsDeserveIt
A2 I had one student who would shut down and start self destructive behavior, previous teachers spoke ill of his attitude, and I felt sad I was not getting through to him. Come to find out he was telling his parents amazing things about me. Warm fuzzies! #GlenwoodKidsDeserveIt
A1 Something I have wanted to try is mystery hangouts. I could not get myself enough ahead last year where I felt I could go for it. I look forward to keeping them in rotation for engagement in my classroom. #GlenwoodKidsDeserveIt
Hey this is Brittany Bookout, 4th grade teacher at Glenwood. My favorite thing about summer so far has been going to Busch Gardens and Water Country with my son! #GlendwoodKidsDeserveIt
