A little context on Shawn’s Mexico trip: I know the clinic and its owners. I haven’t been treated there, but I have done ibogaine in Costa Rica.

One thing I’d wonder about is medication interactions.

During my treatment, I experienced eight hours of sheer terror—giant demons ripping through the walls, trying to tear my soul out and drag me to hell. Every time the nurse came in for her 30-minute check, they disappeared.

When I finally told her, she seemed to recognize what was happening. They gave me Valium—oddly enough—and within ten minutes, I felt completely fine.

They’d asked during screening whether I’d taken anything. I don’t regularly take benzos or sleeping pills, but I’d taken a small piece of one for the flight and completely forgotten to mention it. A patient before me had experienced something similar.

I can’t say what caused Shawn’s experience, or establish exactly what caused mine. But given what happened to me, I wonder whether a medication-related reaction played a role—and whether he’s now trying to make sense of something with a more straightforward explanation.

Why is it you can criticize Islam all you want online, however, when you’re critical of Israel, you’ll get your account banned?

It just happened to me a couple weeks ago my 10 year-old Reddit account got banned for suggesting we should protest Israel, instead of protesting ICE because it has far more negative effects on our country.

If you are aware of this kind of stuff happening, and you still support it, you are a traitor to our country. Period.
