A huge thank you to our current BCH OT students who have made this amazing video 🎥 What a great way to showcase all things OT within their placement areas and celebrating OT week!
Check it out on the link below... 👀💚 #OTWeek23 https://t.co/Z9eCl9ibwl
Celebrate OT week by starting a conversation about all things OT...
- What occupations make you you?
- How does participating in them make you feel?
- Can performing in them shape your identity?
Ask yourself, friends, family or even an OT! Let's talk together 💚

We would like to introduce our student in the team!
My name is Rebecca, and I am an Apprentice Occupational Therapist currently on my final placement with the acute neuro therapy team at Birmingham Children's hospital and Birmingham Women's within neonatal services. 1/2
I would highly recommend this placement opportunity for anyone that wants to specialise in paediatrics and I am enjoying the variety of experiences to support my development offered as part of this placement. 2/2
One of our OT have attended the Spinal Cord Injury Management for Therapist module presented by the @spinalinjuries last week- it was very informative, thank you Susie, Karen and Gary!💚
Yesterday our Rheumatology team took 14 young people to the Peak District for our annual independence break. It was a busy day of kitchen skills, games and baking. @RheumatBCH
Our Osteogenesis Imperfecta team recently attended the @BrittleBoneUK annual conference. They supported with the 'Cool Bones' 😎🦴 activities and learned about young people's experiences surrounding the condition. Check out the amazing collage art work that everyone created! 👀🎨
Who remembers old school battleships?? 🙋🏼♀️Today in neuro we're working on remembering complex rules, fine motor skills, planning, concentration & attention... Bit of frustration tolerance as well on occasion 😅 all with some decades old plastic boats! 🚢
Many thanks to Fox Cubs Nature Play for coming to BCH for our coffee afternoon, offering children with #arthrogryposis the opportunity to meet each other and have fun painting with lots of different materials! 🎨🖌️

Completed a bimanual activity session with a patient with left side hemiplegia this morning, including some Lego building. Considering our limited brick supply, she made a pretty successful giraffe! 🦒 #BimanualTherapy#PaediatricOccupationalTherapy
The 'Moving on up Group’ - Get Set for Secondary School is ran by our OT team. This year's group was a cracking success and included an egg drop competiton! 🥚😁 Thank you to all of the young people that contributed during the day 👍🏻 Good luck in your new schools this September!
It was great to see so many AHP's out in support of this year's @WHBTG! A fantastic time was had by all, and a huge congratulations to all of the athletes and their families! 🥳
