IRELAND A PLACE THAT PAYS TO NOT BE IRISH.
When a married man with four children can arrive from Nigeria, claim persecution as a bisexual man and have stronger legal rights to accommodation than an Irish citizen left homeless, you’re living in a junk state. Irish citizens are being made fools of in their own country.
I want to start by saying this: fair play to every resident, every community group, every
hospital board, every sports club, every environmental volunteer and every ordinary
person who took time out of their busy lives to put in a submission. You didn’t have to,
but you did, and it shows the kind of grounded, real knowledge you only get from people
who actually live here. That deserves respect.
Now onto the point. @davidmcw says people with homes are blocking homes for
others. It’s a handy line, good for a headline, but it skips over the reality that people
around here deal with the consequences of bad planning every day. Dublin isn’t an
economic model on a whiteboard. It’s a city shaped by decades of delayed infrastructure,
half-finished projects and promises that never landed. People aren’t objecting out of
selfishness. They’re reacting to what they’ve lived through.
Dunsink isn’t just a big empty site inside the M50. It’s a former dump, boxed in by the
motorway, cut off from rail, and surrounded by communities who’ve been waiting years
for proper investment. You can’t wave that away as a small engineering issue. And when
locals say they don’t trust transport to arrive before housing, they’re not being awkward.
They’re remembering Metro North, DART Underground, BusConnects and all the big
plans that were talked up and then parked.
Density is fine. But density without proper planning is just height. We’ve already seen
what happens when big blocks go up without schools, parks, services or decent streets.
A city isn’t made of units. It’s made of places people can actually live in.
The real issue isn’t homeowners versus non-homeowners. It’s a State that hasn’t
delivered infrastructure, land assembly or enforcement at the scale required. And again,
fair play to everyone who pointed that out, from biodiversity to traffic to heritage to
hospital access. People did their homework.
Ireland needs homes. But it also needs trust, proper planning and infrastructure that
arrives when promised. Until that happens, people are right to speak up
The biggest skill you can develop is the ability to reset fast.
Bad conversation? Move on.
Bad day? Start fresh tomorrow.
Missed workout? Hit it the next day.
Poor decision? Learn and adjust.
You can't control what happens to you, but you control how long you let it affect you.
Keep your problems smaller than your life. A flat tire is a flat tire. A bad meeting is a bad meeting. A canceled flight is just an extra two hours. These things become catastrophes when you let them. But they stay manageable when you remember the depth of your real life- the people you love, the work you care about, the beautiful years still ahead. Zoom out. Fit your reaction to the size of the problem.
out for dinner tonight. Should have been around €140 for 4. Brought bill. €46. Someone else’s clearly. Did the right thing ; paid promptly, said thanks and walked out at a high velocity. Made my holiday that. Hope the young waiter lad finds a new job soon, great fella
🚨 BREAKING: Elon just nuked the entire media playbook in under 90 seconds.
Journalist: “You support the far-right!”
Elon: “No. You support the lunatic left.
What was completely normal 10-15 years ago is now called ‘far-right’…
because your side went completely insane.”
Safe cities. Secure borders. Biological reality. Common sense.
None of that is “far-right.”
It’s just not crazy.
The Overton window didn’t shift right.
The left sprinted off a cliff and started calling everyone who didn’t jump “extremists.”
Elon said it out loud.
And the media still can’t cope.
Lunatic left.
He’s 100% right.

Polish citizens warn illegal invaders:
"We are defending Poland's borders. So to all you tanned pseudo-engineers, you're enter our country at your own risk!"
This is how you defend your borders.
Incoming rage post. May delete later. Could use advice from fellow girl dads.
My wife homeschools. She does a great job. My girls do extra curricular activities like jiu-jitsu and other fun stuff.
Yesterday we dropped my 5 year old daughter off at some summer day camp thing for children. She's going for a few hours every day this week.
She came home telling us she had a wonderful time except for one part. Some boy kept following her around, being mean to her, and TOUCHING her butt. She told me she told him to stop and move away from him but he grabbed her and pulled her back and continued to touch her against her will. She told me she could point the boy out and described him as a little boy her size with brown skin.
Now I get to deal with the nightmare of many California parents. Some shit culture that doesn't respect women has invaded the area I reside in and has now affected my daughters life.
This is how I've chosen to handle it today.
In about 2 hours I'm dropping her off again. We will be informing the adult staff about yesterday's incident.
I told my daughter that telling the adults PROBABLY won't fix the situation. I know the kind of adults that pervades California. Weak ineffectual pathetic bottom feeders who are more concerned about social correctness than my daughters safety.
I told my daughter if that boy touches her again today after we've let the adults know that she has my permission and every right to break that little boy's arm. Keylock, kimura, arm bar. Her choice. This seemed to calm all her little fears. Shes trained for this. I'm raising my daughters to fix their own problems, not be victims. If this is the first arm she collects, so be it.
The city centre in Dublin is completely lost.
I feel like a stranger in my own city all you see is foreigner's.
The amount of foreigner's who have come to this country and got everything handed to them on a plate is sickening.
When you see your own people on the street begging and Irish children spending Christmas in emergency accommodation while migrants spend 2 years in state of the art accommodation to then go on a homeless band list and get housed ahead of your own people who are waiting years for a house is truly horrifying.
We are supposed to pay taxes to fund services and help our people.
However in Ireland our taxes are used to fund IPAS millionaires and help foreigner's.
We stopped disciplining children and started diagnosing them.
Now we have a country full of adults who think everything is someone else's fault.
Tell me I’m wrong.
This is way too far, Islamic men marching in crowds while slapping their chest is a sight that should never be seen in Ireland.
But here we are, this is our country now.
Completely unrecognisable.
I promise you within 24 hours the entire media and politcal class here in Ireland will close ranks and be attacking Tyler.
