@JointBoardMtg That's a good rule of thumb although each strain is going to be a little different, you'll find some that will stretch out out of your last 50% and then some that will come up short.

Storytime, friends. 🧶
A few weeks ago I got a position working at a power plant for three weeks shut down, and I actually liked working there. The work made sense, the people were mostly solid, and there was something satisfying about keeping the lights on for everybody else. Then one day this clown showed up and blasted an airhorn right next to my head. When I went home that evening my ears were on fire ringing!

So off I went to the minor emergency clinic the next day to make sure my eardrums were still on speaking terms with the rest of me.

That’s when the universe decided to get weird with the timing. Sitting there in the waiting room was an old work associate I hadn’t seen in years. We started talking, as you do when you’re both stuck in medical-limbo, and he told me his company was starting a QA/QC division at the company he works for. They needed experienced electricians who knew how things were actually built, not just how they look on paper.

One conversation turned into an application, which turned into a first interview that went better than I expected. Positive feedback, and a second interview already set for next week with the head of the department I’d be working under.

So If you have a few spare good vibes or a bit of luck you can pass on , I’ll take it! 🙏🙌
This would be a life-changing move: roughly a 40% bump in pay plus a $1,200-a-month truck allowance. More importantly, it means a break for my body! I wouldn’t be physically installing electrical every single day. Instead I’d be the Quality Assurance / Quality Control Inspector looking after at least three data centers in the Oklahoma area.
Thirty-two years of hard work and it finally feels like it might actually pay off. Fingers crossed. 🤞

To me it was the most obvious play when I found Web3 in 2021.
The perfect mixture of two massive communities that are both literally growing like weeds! 🤷‍♂️🤣
