Our third-grade Wax Museum was a huge success! Students researched famous people from a variety of fields, including inventors, athletes, political leaders, social activists, Nobel Peace Prize winners, musicians, and more. They created informative display boards and memorized key facts about their chosen person to share with families, classmates, and visitors. I love this tradition! Today, our Sun Blaze Stingray seniors took one final walk through the halls where their journey began. 💙🧡

As they returned to their elementary school, our students lined the hallways singing the school song, cheering, and celebrating these amazing seniors and all they have accomplished. From little learners to graduating leaders, this full-circle moment was one to remember!

Sun Blaze Elementary is thrilled to announce we will be starting a Gifted Scholastic Academy in August 2026! In year 1, the academy will be open to 5th graders and extend to 4th graders in year 2 (August 2027). Our academy offers a distinctive pathway that fosters curiosity, leadership, and a love of lifelong learning. This is a no cost program for families. The academy is also open for students NOT zoned for Sun Blaze. Students who are already in a gifted program and have an Educational Plan are eligible. Students are selected for the academy on a first come first serve basis. We are taking applications now. ALL students will need to apply for the academy. Our competing math team left it all on the table today at the District Math Olympics! Remember this team from January? They placed in the top 2 for our cadre and advanced to the district level competition. Students not only deepened their math skills in working with @BWorrell_ , but also learned how to be a good teammate and collaborator! We’re so proud of our super speller, Kian! As a fourth grader, he competed against students up to 8th grade in the Regional Spelling Bee. After 11 rounds and 3.5 hours, he made the Top 5 out of 26—and was the only elementary student there!
