The SAT and ACT are a horrible measure of excellence they are so ridiculously easy in terms of knowledge that’s required to do well on them.
I feel the fact most american HS students never even finish AP Calc BC is depressing to think about (even AP Calc BC is way too easy to score a 5 on).
We should make Calculus I, II, III and Linear Algebra mandatory in HS.
I don’t usually get involved in political stuff, but some things need to be said.
Spider-Man and Stan Lee would never support ICE.
Not now. Not ever.
Fuck ICE. 🖕
Some guy in the row in front of me said “nah you’re on your own after that” when mj asked him to bring her home. Like yeah dude that’s why you’d never be spiderman you’re not that guy pal
A friend of mine got 1600 on the SAT in 1983. He took the test in India and had no idea till now how rare that was. In 1982, for example, 4 people got 1600. Imagine doing that well and not realizing it for 40 years.
@howie_hua Agreed. While in general being able to derive formulas is a key skill (by having solid fundamentals), some things should just be memorized. Times table example as you mentioned is spot on.
