$NVDA reported a Q2 earnings beat after the bell.
The company estimates that its Q3 revenue will climb to $108 billion, plus or minus 2%. https://t.co/3h3xK0dApi
@The_Money_Buddy Absolutely not, buddy. $15K saved/invested + a $70K truck is backwards. Build your emergency fund, invest, and let your money go to work for you before taking on that payment.
My in laws had been renting the same home for 30 years at a modest monthly rate.
An investor bought the house next door and started renting it for nearly 3x what they were paying.
They got so nervous that their rent could eventually triple that they asked their landlord if they could purchase the house.
This is one of the biggest advantages of owning, you have much more stability and control over your housing costs.
@financedystop Harsh reality of why so many of our friends are deciding not to have children. It’s not just the cost of daycare, it’s managing everything before and after work, too.
You can love your manager, enjoy your work and have a great work-life balance.
But what if the company itself is declining?
Declining revenue. Layoffs. Cost cutting. Leadership leaving. No backfills. A shrinking mission.
At what point do you stop optimizing for a great job today and start thinking about the health of the company tomorrow?
Would you stay or start looking?
This morning I sold $20K of stock.
It wasn’t a random decision. I was consolidating my portfolio and reducing overlapping exposure.
But more importantly, I’ve spent the last 7 years building enough financial flexibility to give myself the time to build a business.
That’s what I’ve been building toward: assets that give me options.
The option to leave a job.
The option to take a calculated risk.
The option to build something of my own.
That’s financial freedom to me.
@Smartnetworth1 Seeing someone else’s investment progress can make wealth building feel attainable. Sometimes you just need to see someone else doing it to believe you can do it too.
@nikitathakur21 This is a great take. I think remote work made performance easier to see. On Zoom and Teams, you quickly see who is prepared, engaged, and contributing and who isn’t. Being physically present in an office doesn’t automatically mean you’re productive.
@CliftonSellers “Find one thing that works and go all-in.”
Great advice for entrepreneurs.
For employees, I’d rather build multiple valuable skills, maintain a strong network, and have multiple income streams.
Your employer shouldn’t be your only source of security.
@thejustinwelsh As you get older, you realize the system is working against you.
Don’t make decisions based on what you’ve been told. Do your own evaluation. Question everything. Run the numbers.
@JJsFinclub The easiest way to build wealth is to free up your cash flow. Don’t upgrade your lifestyle every time your income goes up, build the nest egg first.
@iam_biglad1 A good manager is the cheat code to corporate life. I see far too many people staying miserable in jobs because they’re working for a bad manager.
