My thoughts on the BYU - Colorado game tomorrow:
BYU comes into the game with the #7 rushing attack in the nation. Colorado's defense is 2nd worst among P4 teams at #121 in the nation. Because the game is in Boulder, and because they'll be amped up for some "revenge" for last year's beatdown at the hands of BYU, I think Colorado comes out playing a little better than their first few games show on paper. However, BYU's defense is so good that they make adjustments and Colorado struggles to sustain. BYU wears them down in the trenches and rush for 250+ yards (100+ for LJ Martin), and BYU wins 37-17.
My Week 4 Big 12 Power Rankings:
1. TTU - they look legit - two P4 wins (well, Oregon St), but surprisingly their FPI is second in the conference to only BYU
2. TCU - two P4 wins, one on the road
3. Iowa St. - two P4 wins, one home, one neutral, and squeaked by a Sun Belt team
4. BYU - no "great" wins yet, but defense is best in the Big 12 and they have highest FPI and highest CFP odds of the conference
5. Arizona - one P4 win vs Kansas St. but KSU looks to be the second worst team in the conference
6. Arizona St. - sure they lose to Mississippi State, but most of their guys are back and they still have a good chance of making the championship game
7. Utah - TTU pulled away late in the 4Q but still a great team, should be contending
8. Houston - one P4 win vs Colorado and looking good, but still need to see more
9. Kansas - could be higher but lost to a really good Missouri team. Should be contending
10. UCF - one P4 win (but North Carolina looks bad), still need to see more
11. Baylor - could be higher on list but they've lost two games. One good win vs SMU but lost against two really good teams (ASU and Auburn)
12. Colorado - 2-2 but starting to figure some things out
13. Cincinnati - just haven't seen anything yet, could be a wild card
14. West Virginia - not looking great although they beat Pitt, but lost some good players
15. Kansas St. - unfortunately they don't look very good, but games have all been close and have good pieces
16. Oklahoma St. - lost by 66 to Oregon and then lost to Tulsa at home. Not looking great.
@jandmplus6 I hadn't been to maverick to get a drink in a while and when I went to find the lids she said "oh, they switched to these ones that are supposed to fit the foam" but let me tell you they are definitely not great lol
@IrishKat00 If I'm at home, with my wife and kids, and three masked people attempt to not only break in, but shoot at me, are we really asking if that's self-defense?
Man this sucks. Sucks if it's true. Sucks if it's not true. As a BYU fan it sucks. As a human it sucks. Hoping they can figure it out accurately for everyone involved.
@TrueBlueBYU1984 I think people are being silly. I want somebody that is super competitive and will only demand the best out of BYU. This isn't an audition for an apostle or something lol
@BYUCougars Honestly not knowing a single thing about this guy, I feel bad for him. I've seen nothing but speculation and a bunch of "personal experiences" with no examples at all. It's obvious he would be great for the job, or BYU wouldn't hire him.
@SportsGuyRyan Honestly I'm surprised at your analysis - I consider in n out toppings to be really good and if anything out burgers are usually kind of pink and we've had to ask them to cook them well done. It is a long wait but if we eat there maybe a few times a year it's worth it!
@tiffanee_dawn I prescribe psychiatric meds and personally been on and off anxiety medications for 5-10 years, they are very helpful! The trick is finding the right one. Genesight is a cool option. There's also non-Rx alternatives like 5-HTP, NAC, valerian root, ashwagandha, l-theanine.
@ToddLlewellyn Taco Amigo is terrible. My wife and I spotted it one time and it was so bland and no flavor at all. I can't believe anybody would go there lol
