Spring seeded perennial ryegrass coming along! Doing pretty well despite the drier conditions we’ve been seeing once again!

Swathing is right around the corner! Some have already started others are ready to go and waiting patiently for their turn. Everything is ripening quick, we’ll likely see a lot of changes in this stand over the next couple days!

Lots of fungicide going down on perennial ryegrass this week!

Found low populations of armyworms in the odd field at the end of last week. Good idea to take a peak before sending the sprayer out this week.

Perennial ryegrass seeded in its own row with wheat as a cover is an ideal way to get a stand established. This field looks super and is setting a great example of this practice!

And just like that it’s harvest time already! Great timing to get a grass harvest rolling while we’re in a bit of a drier period of the season. Here’s hoping for minimal headaches for all this harvest ! Happy harvesting! 😁
