Hello! This is Kang Daniel. It seems the weather hasn't quite warmed up yet.
As of today, February 9th, I have enlisted for active duty at the Nonsan Training Center! (^_^)v
I was always looking for the right timing, but to be honest, I never imagined my enlistment would be delayed this much lol. Still, on one hand, I feel relieved, and on the other, I feel honored to be able to fulfill my duty of national defense in good health.
Although I have to say goodbye to society for a short while, I will continue to polish myself and become stronger! Over the past two years, while writing lyrics and working on songs, I think I’ve spent a lot of time reflecting on the path I’ve walked and the path I will walk in the future.
I believe my fans have experienced more of the story of "Kang Daniel" as a person, rather than just stories of me as a singer. For that, I feel both apologetic and deeply grateful that you have always stayed by my side and given me the courage to continue this profession of making music.
I am thankful that I can create the music I want to express based on my many (lol) experiences that are a bit different from others. I feel an indescribable sense of stability knowing that among the many people who support me, there are those gathered under the name Flowd.
We have spent so much time together in this singer-fan relationship. We enjoyed heart-fluttering, thrilling stages together that I couldn't have even imagined in the past, and I shared songs with you that contained my emotions, memories, and thoughts—things I personally thought I’d never be able to voice. It was incredibly fun and I was so happy!!
I often express my feelings, but I wanted to tell you once more through this letter lol. They say 1 year and 6 months is a long time, but when I calculated my discharge date, it’s already next year...? To show you the version of myself that I want to become, I think I’ll have to be quite busy lol. During this time, I hope you all take care of yourselves, get plenty of rest, and join me when I start my next chapter!
I will also be cheering for everything you do while I diligently serve in the military. Since I’m pretty tough except for my skin, I have a feeling I’ll do just fine! Hahaha!
Well then, I’ll be back! Please stay healthy and happy!
