What is this brown/amber-colored stuff running down our walls?

Each one was about the size of a grain of wheat, maybe smaller.
Does anyone know what these are?
If they’re eggs, what laid them?
Can it be a grains places by a bird?

What are these strange egg-like grains on my jumper after drying it outdoors?

I washed my jumper and left it to dry outside on a metal drying rack under some trees. It wasn’t touching any plants and stayed there for about two days.

I live in a temperate climate.
Later, I found three strange grain-like things lined up neatly in a row. I think they might be eggs of some kind. They were stuck firmly in the jumper and seem to have slightly damaged it.

My guess is either excessive heat or moisture. Or maybe just age?
