Black propaganda campaigns in the Orbán regime - a fascinating documentary by @444hu about smear campaigns in #Hungary. 1st targets were political opponents - now anyone who raises their voice against the government. And the truth has no part to play.

A teenager without friends, who starts to work as a meme creator for pro-gov troll pages - for only 50 euros/month. —> He gave us a unique, personal insight into how the pro-Fidesz propaganda machine operates online in #Hungary. Check out our @lakmusz_hu video by @SzilviNemet
We are proud - and very happy - to announce that Lakmusz has become a verified signatory of the International Fact-Checking Network's (IFCN's) code of principles. @factchecknet
Joys of investigative journalism: when my great colleague @SzilviNemet tells me that she can prove that #Hungary’s counter terrorism centre is linked to a doxxing campaign, and one of the proofs is: a photo of a cute puppy!! Details in our new @lakmusz_hu story
After looking into cases of online harassment against antifa protesters, Lakmusz found that 5 ppl were doxxed by a Facebook page linked to a(n ex-)trainer of the state-run Counter Terrorism Centre. Context 🧶 https://t.co/wqxVs3TsUY
New article by @lakmusz_hu and @Pol_Cap on China's use of Kremlin's tactics to spread disinformation in Taiwan. Check it out: https://t.co/Pl5xGvYck6 Written by @peterkreko, @bzoldi and Győri Lóránt
Happy update about @lakmusz_hu fact-checking site: having reached over 1,5 million readers in our first year, we are going to continue our work for 30 months with the support of @EU_Commission, as part of the Hungarian Digital Media Observatory, the anti-disinfo hub in #Hungary.
We are also proud to join @EDMO, the European hub for fact-checkers, academic researchers and other relevant stakeholders contributing to address disinformation in Europe. 🇪🇺
🇭🇺#Hungary: Shameful attack on independent news portal @444hu. A far-right extremist website published an opinion piece suggesting all of its journalists could "easily be beaten to death". IPI urge police to thoroughly investigate. @MediaFreedomEU alert⬇️

@akos_gerei @PM_ViktorOrban@lakmusz_hu Oh ok, I see your point. I also think a great challenge of journalism is how to get people interested in longer, detailed articles. I'm glad that at least the photo raised your awareness, maybe next time you'll also read at least part of the article - we see that some people do!
Hungarians got a letter from @PM_ViktorOrban alongside the latest national consultation "on Brussels’ failed #sanctions" against Russia. We highlighted problematic claims (falsehoods, inaccuracies, manipulative arguments, opinions & predictions not back up by facts) @lakmusz_hu

@janos_pocsi@PM_ViktorOrban@lakmusz_hu Sure, all the info is available in the “About us” section: https://t.co/SsrZ3K4fWj tldr, if you ask: yes, our project is supported by an EU grant, and no, they don’t tell us what and how we should write about.
