Today is my last day @usnews after 7 years. I will miss my colleagues but not the long commute to Georgetown.
As I clean out my desk and look around the office, it's clear that we all thought we'd back soon after we last left in March.
TODAY: U.S. News speaks with Dr. Anthony Fauci as the novel coronavirus pandemic deepens and the race for a vaccine heats up. Register for free here: https://t.co/sOiTaYTtCD @NIAIDNews
@KrishanaDavis yea, all of my studios are open now but I'm not going back to classes anytime soon. In fact, I need to go to Planet Fitness and cancel that membership. Listening to a podcast while using a weighted jump rope is the least boring home workout I've found but it's not sufficient.
This is bad. ICE just told students here on student visas that if their school is going online-only this fall, the students must depart the United States and cannot remain through the fall semester. https://t.co/8DteVzexLB
Racism has been declared a public health emergency, but racial resentment is killing white people. Join me and Jon Metzl live tomorrow as we unpack his book, "Dying of Whiteness," in USNews' streaming series on race. Tune in here:

I finally get to announce this! For the last few weeks, I've been working to launch a brand new event series at @usnews that will explore race and identity in America through a series of diverse voices. Very excited for @laurenonthehill's talk tomorrow with @JohnBKing!
Up at 2 a.m. googling "overall hardware kits" trying to figure out how to release all of this stress and frustration. It might be too late to start sewing. Maybe I'll just make some pizza dough or hate-watch "For My Man" until I fall asleep.
@Galeficent Its not that fun. 😂 They're weighted ropes so I just keep jumping until I'm ready to pass out. 😄 It is great cardio and good for stress relief though.
Today, I’m joining my colleagues of color at the @PhillyInquirer and calling in sick and tired.
Things need to change. We call on The Inquirer to do better. To be better.
Here is the open letter we sent our newsroom leadership yesterday:

A college where the graduation rate for black students has been 0 percent — for years. @aarickawash
and I traveled there to figure out what's happening. Our story: https://t.co/35yB0Ag8YX
