We build ball players that hit really hard.

And we forge awesome humans while we’re at it.

Discipline is practicing how to behave under imperfect conditions

Here’s a tip

If you start going after your goal every day and don’t stop, no one can catch up to you.

Well said

If Speed is important, why is it a Phase?

If Strength is important, why is it a Phase?

Stop phasing abilities in and out. You just dose them concurrently year round.

I have a hard time being proud of myself for what I've been able to create and accomplish so far. But I am proud of what I'm able to withstand day after day.

My vision is greater than the obstacles in front of me and my belief in my capacity to endure is far more resilient than what should be dropping me where I stand.

[Ben Chantos @B_Chantos]

Being a beginner sucks.

But so does staying where you don’t want to be.

[Xavier Martin @XisInimitable]

I came to Edwardsville, @SIUEBaseball and ran a 6.54 in the 60, threw 91 from the outfield, and hit a 447-foot BP shot to Missouri 106 exit velocity off the bat. Stacking days. Building strength. #RollCougs #ThePowerofX

You have to become the person before you get the outcome you want

Instead of "re-opening" your college commitment...how about you get so undeniably good that you don't have to?

I was told a story last night about the mindset of one of our long time athletes

When he was 13 he was playing up in a tournament and was being mocked for his size and it visibly upset him even though he ended up closing some mouths.

On the way home they asked why he was upset and his reply was literally: That's the last time anyone's gonna talk about me like that.

At 13.

Fire me the FUCK up. That's the mindset that it takes.

Unfortunately most of us don't learn it that early and it becomes 10x harder each year it's delayed.

Do you have any idea how rare it is to find adults who (actually) give a shit about your kids?

I’m talking unselfish adults with patience & empathy who understand youth psychology & what long-term development looks like.

If you find them for your children, they’re good as gold.

@CoachNoon45 Supercat and band assisted push ups over here.

On your way to the top, you’re going to have to get extremely comfortable with boring and repetitive things.

Most people can’t handle that. Trust me.

Don’t be like most people.

[Ben Chantos @B_Chantos]

It’s increasingly easier and easier to find who really wants it and who doesn’t

Don’t get so caught up in your dream and your goals that you forget to start the “laundry list” of shit you gotta do to achieve the dreams or goals.

Said differently, quit planning and start doing.

[Ben Chantos @B_Chantos]

I get nervous and anxious every day when my alarm goes off.

But I’m confident that I’m going to get done each day what I said I would.
