Now that the dust has settled, let’s be honest about Carrick’s football.
Yes, the results look good. But outside of that Mancity and Arsenal performance, where is the clear identity?
I haven’t seen anything structurally better than what Amorim was building. It’s mostly counter-attacks, moments, and individual quality.
And if we’re being honest, that’s the exact formula that fooled us before.
That works in short bursts. It doesn’t win leagues and the Champions League unless we are just comfortable qualifying for the Champions League every season.
United can’t make the same mistake again - giving a permanent job off a good run without asking bigger questions.
We need a coach for the next five years, not just the next five months.
If we’re serious about competing in the Premier League and Champions League, vibes won’t be enough.
We live in a simulation. I think it’s easy to accept when you think about it, we just never do. One day we just woke up in this place.. with a sun & oceans & food & sex & music .. all these rules & situations.
It’s so believable that most of us never stop to really even ask seriously what this is. We’re too busy living it… paying our rent, trying to fall in love, thinking about what we’re gonna wear & if we’ll see and go places we’ve always wanted to go.
Religions all over the world try to understand. Who is the creator? how to speak to him, how to impress him.. ultimately what is faith? What is good? How are we supposed to live?
People that try, have come to understand, that faith works… lol atleast sometimes. Whether they call it prayer or manifesting people have realized that thinking & speaking & believing positively ..changes things.
It affects the simulation.
So we’re living in a random world, we’re born with a certain perspective & the way we think changes/navigates our experience. I think we can all agree on that.
After really contemplating it, reflecting my life & enough YouTube videos, I’ve accepted it. This is a simulation. & since accepting that I just… see everything so differently. It’s like hmm this life is not… thaaat real & it’s not as fixed and as scary as it seems.
These concepts are not new to me I have been studying ideas like this for over 10 years … My journey began literally on delusion and huge leaps of faith & I took them consciously.
I believed if I had a vision in my mind then it would materialize, and I repeatedly tested these theories in huge ways like where I lived, how I make my money & … it worked.
In 1 year I went from being a waitress in Texas my 4th year in college to starting MATTE. I dropped out. I moved to NYC. Literally. With a delusional mindset. $2000 & no plans to get a job. No family help. It was hard I struggled but I stayed delusional & it fucking worked lol.
This was 2015. This changed my life. I slowly grew to know my full power over the years & im still learning.. but learning so young that *thoughts* and *visions* could create cold hard cash & places to live, was all the protection I needed. I never had to sacrifice myself or my experience. I was fearless enough to go anywhere & fearless enough to know I don’t need to show up as anyone else.
So now, like 10 years later, fully accepting that this life is a simulation has cleansed me further. I really *know* this life is programmed through *me*.. I don’t need to fear relationships with my mom or falling in love or paying my rent. I can make my rent as high as I want, I can live wherever I want. I can rent forever and never buy a house. I can buy 10 houses. I can imagine better friendships and better men in my life, more romantic experiences… literally whatever I want. It’s cleansed me.
When you fully accept this, there’s no need to be anxious or worried because you realize that this is a simulated reality that literally responds to what you think and feel and project.
I’m not a Christian but this is what Jesus was exemplifying. You don’t want to be uptight anymore, you’re more forgiving because you understand people are still deep in the illusion. I literally feel dumb even arguing about things that would have sent me spiraling before because I know I can change any situation, internally, so there’s no need to use outside excess force.
It’s like ai mirrors what we’ve already been doing we just can’t see the hardware.
It’s a beautiful theory, I love it here
@AliceTalksFooty Dalot is awful, this guy has been in the club for a long time now , I've barely seen any sign of improvement, I don't understand why he's still a starter or even in the team
Perfect analysis from Tottenham and Everton of why Manchester United shouldn't give up on Amorim, this is all on the players.
Check out how some of the players don’t just fit the system
A Thread 🧵
Man Utd baffle me. Amorim was available in the summer, yet they spent £200m on Ten Hag—who they didn’t even rate—only to sack him later for Amorim.
Then, they insisted on bringing in Amorim mid-season but refused to back him in January.
Yes, because funds are tight, but if he plays a completely different style and needs 10 new signings, why hire him mid-season if you can’t afford to build his squad—especially when other managers could have fit the system better?
This whole mess could’ve been avoided by sacking Ten Hag in the summer, bringing in Amorim then, and actually spending that £200m on players he wants.
The £200m spent on Ten Hag, his sacking, and Ashworth has left us in a financial mess. Now, Amorim—who plays a completely different system to the squad we have—is expected to fix it.... but we do not have the money to help him out.
It’s not fair on him, but it just sums up the chaos at this club.
This summer is massive, sales needed.
United paid Sancho 300k a week
Supported him for 4 months while he had a break from football in the middle of the season.
He's been bang average at best for years.
And he's messaging Rashford about Freedom lol
Read the room. Most people actually work for a living
You see the matter isn't just about Sancho. It's about the perception of it. Sancho played at Dortmund just like he has at United. One good performance after 3-4 mediocre ones.
Bundesliga: Played: 14, Goals: 2, Assists: 3
UCL: Played: 7, Goals: 1, Assist: 0
21 Games, 3 Goals, 3 Assists. Hardly game-changing.
But every time he scored or assisted, the media glare fell on United and Ten Hag as if it was a crime to send an unprofessional and underperforming player out on loan. Talk shows were dedicated to The Jadon Sancho Saga. Pundits gave all sorts of opinions like this was the first time a manager and player fell out with each other. Just last night Mourinho was asked to give his opinion on the topic. Commentators made it a point to mention Man Utd in every Dortmund game. Hundreds of articles were written on the topic.
This was amplified by the Manager Out cult who will use just about any ammunition to have a go against Ten Hag. (Funnily they would have been up in arms had Sancho done the same with their favourite manager).
Even a simple thing like a step-over to win a corner was made to look like the move of the century.
And then there was Dortmund's behaviour in the last 6 months. Acting like they saved Sancho from United, insinuating United were a toxic environment for him, taking a dig at United every chance they got, all the while maintaining they don't have the money to buy him permanently. It was weird and distasteful.
One thing you need to understand, nothing unites a fanbase more than external hate. And Dortmund just did that.
Some people think because INEOS have brought in football people and are talking good in public, they are free from scrutiny or criticism. They are not free from such. We are allowed to scrutinise and criticise them.
- Dan Ashworth allegedly admires Graham Potter
- Sir Jim Ratcliffe allegedly admires Thomas Tuchel and Mauricio Pochettino
- Sir Dave Brailsford allegedly admires Gareth Southgate
I'm sorry, I don't rate any of these managers and I am allowed to be skeptical of these rumours.
Tuchel has only won domestic trophies with PSG and Bayern. He turned a treble run in 22/23 into a final day single title scramble. He then proceeded to give Bayern Munich their first trophyless season in 11 year (he finished 3rd in the process).
Don't tell me about his pandemic UCL win. Roberto Di Matteo's win was even better than his so I am not sold on that lucky win where he had to face teams playing home fixtures in neutral venues.
Also, Tuchel has the Mourinho syndrome, he can't stay for more than 3 seasons at a club. He will also overspend on players then proceed to criticise them and blame them for his obvious failures (eg. Romelu Lukaku and Kim Min-Jae).
At least Mourinho won and defended various titles and didn't ride on the PSG and Bayern gravy.
The less I say about the trophyless in UK coach, Poch, the better. Southgate is just a Middlesbrough manager who somehow is lucky to have a well talented England squad and generation.
Graham Potter is a fraud. Kieran McKenna is inexperienced and needs to go to Brighton Albion or stick to Ipswich Town before he can think of managing a mess such as Manchester United. Thomas Frank is just a charismatic guy and that's all there is to him.
All in all, none of these guys are worth resetting a project for.
There's no need to beg INEOS. They've been in football since 2017 and this is their first major trophy. I won't trust none of "their guys" cause "their guys" didn't win anything prior to having a stake in Blockbuster FC.
Erik ten Hag won them their first major trophy in just 6 months. Show me a photo of Sir Jim Ratcliffe hugging a player at FC Lausanne and OGC Nice and I will shut up.
