In this new paper, we have shown that toxic cyanobacteria can quickly acclimate to higher temperatures, and they do this by regulating the expression of certain genes. No clear evidences involving fast evolution, genome change etc. were found

New paper on the impact of temperature & phosphorus availability on cyanobacterial blooms!
Using bentophos (Phoslock) against blooms helps, but it also decreases overall biodiversity, especially for eukaryotes!

Marine community experiment, with over 100 tests done in individual dialysis bags. Each bag was inoculated with certain marine diatom strains, previously adapted (for hundreds of generations) to different CO2 & temp conditions.
