A Turn Beyond My Reach

I wait for a turn the night will not reveal,
A fracture in fate, a wound that learns to heal.
Yet every dawn repeats the sentence of despair,
As if the heavens have forgotten I am there.

I stretch my hands toward an unseen gate,
Begging the darkness to negotiate with fate.
But I cannot command the stars to bend,
Nor summon the miracle that suffering must end.

So I kneel where silent echoes reign,
Offering prayers that dissolve into the rain.
No thunder answers, no angel speaks—
Only the hollow voice that sorrow keeps.

Still, I gather strange and untested ways,
Scattered embers from forgotten days.
One path collapses, another fades from sight,
Yet each new step rekindles a fragile light.

Perhaps hope is not the victory I earn,
But the courage to seek another turn.
Though despair has chained my weary soul,
I refuse to let its endless darkness be my whole.

Until the grave claims my final breath,
I will challenge the silence that resembles death.
For even if I cannot forge fate's design,
I can keep searching for the turn that is never mine.
