@tiffanee_dawn That was a sneaky, poison-pill of a contract structure they threw at him. We'd have been screwed to add that front-loaded beast-of-a-contract to what we were paying guys already.

Ends Thursday, April 23rd- Good luck!
This was my first General Conference since I realised 'Mormons' aren't 'a polygamous version of the Amish.' 😂
Late last year I casually wondered, 'What do the Mormons actually believe?' Months later, I'm reading the Book of Mormon daily and felt compelled to watch the General Conference.
Here's my biggest takeaway: If the people attacking the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints spent just two hours watching one session, I think their views would shift. How can you sit through that spirit, that sincerity, and still see these people as 'lost' or 'evil'? It's mind-boggling.
I'm also really grateful for all the LDS friends on X who, knowingly or not, helped me learn and understand more along the way.
Whatever path this takes, whether I eventually join or say, 'Fascinating, I respect it deeply, but I'll stay with my Dutch Reformed church', I'm profoundly grateful.
The Lord used simple curiosity to change my relationship with Him, how I see the world, and how I face adversity.
It's irrefutable that BYU's regular season and postseason prospects diminished drastically with season-ending injuries to three players who were either starters or top-eight rotation guys. You don't lose Richie Saunders, Dawson Baker and Nate Pickens without skipping more than a few beats.
Their collective absence was a primary factor in BYU's mid-pack Big 12 finish and the main reason BYU was unable to make a deeper NCAA tournament run.
Less-proven depth players were thrust into more demanding roles, and while those demands may have at times exceeded capabilities, BYU's late-season reset and rally reflected creative coaching and energized efforts from up and down the roster.
2025-26 was a season of unprecedented attention and expectation, keyed by by AJ Dybantsa's every-game brilliance. Nightly, we would watch his exploits and wonder "what next?" Yet as the season progressed, and the injuries mounted, we also thought "what if?"
We all wish the Cougs' campaign could have have lasted longer, but Cougar Nation can be proud of a group that was forced to specialize in resiliency and reinvention.
On behalf of my 29-year broadcast partner @DurrantMark, I thank our listeners for coming along with us on the season's journey.
I thank head coach Kevin Young for being a terrific guy to work with, and thank him, his staff and players for giving us another NCAA tournament campaign to call.
Thanks to @TysonJex for his support and for helping us sound better than we would otherwise.
In the meantime and in-between time (and until next week on the baseball headset), Go Cougs!
Rebuild the ranch of your dreams, forge bonds with your horses, and befriend new Villagers as you saddle up for a new Disney adventure!

@RyanQualtrics@RyanQualtrics what are the chances of single goal/limited view tix still dropping/becoming available with the Smith's deal for Saturday's 🐧 v 🦣 game? 🤔
@TheSteinLine@davidaldridgedc For EVERYONE? or just the small to mid market teams that they want to keep in line and make examples of while not even a slap on the wrist for their glass-skinned golden children
If you're going to penalize a 1-loss Power Conference team for a weak strength of schedule... BYU's SOS is better than Ole Miss and Notre Dame.
If you're going to penalize a team for not having the strongest power ratings (which incorporate prior year's history and recruiting rankings)... BYU's FPI is higher than Oklahoma's.
If you're going to penalize a team for a non-competitive / bad loss... Alabama lost by 14 to a team with a losing record and Miami lost to two unranked teams.
If you're going to use strength-of-record like you indicated you would, BYU's SOR is the second highest of teams 6-12.
BYU also (1) made its conference championship game and (2) if you sum up the wins of the teams it has beaten, it is THIRD in the country. It is hard to win games and BYU has beaten a lot of teams with a lot of wins.
This. Makes. No. Sense.
The @CFBPlayoff should be ashamed of itself. It has literally contorted itself into a pretzel to avoid putting BYU where it should be ranked (somewhere between 6th - 9th).
RT to get the info out there. They need to feel pressure.

Hey BYU, I know we play each other this week and all but let’s just take a moment to enjoy this and laugh at everyone below us (including our in state rivals) in the rankings after we were picked to finish 13th and last in the conference
