Are you going through challenging times? Here is precious wisdom
@Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar ji says — Tonight, when u go to sleep, feel deeply that u have dropped everything. Offer ur body, mind, breath, thoughts, feelings, emotions, and environment completely to the Divine.
Feel that u have nothing and you are nothing.
That — is bliss. 🌸
If you take even one small step with this realization — “I have nothing, I am nothing” — u will become the happiest person on this planet. Because when the sense of ownership and ego dissolve, everything naturally comes to u.
Now, this doesn’t mean you sit idle and daydream saying, “I’ll do nothing because I am nothing.”
No — Gurudev says, “Be nothing, but do everything.”
The mind is clever; it can twist even the highest knowledge for its own convenience. But when you truly let go and rest in I am nothing, you operate from the deepest freedom, doing everything with joy, yet untouched by anything. 🌺

Q: Gurudev, What is the Significance of Makar Sankranti Festival?
@Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar ji - There are twelve sankrantis in a year, out of which Makar Sankranti has been considered most important because from here begins the Uttarayana punya kaal (Uttarayana auspicious period), and Uttarayana is regarded as the period of divinity (Devatas). Although the entire year is considered auspicious, this period is considered slightly more auspicious. All festivals begin following this.
Today the sesame seed and jaggery gives a message to the people, ‘Maintain purity inside.’ If you scrub the sesame seed, it will become white outside also. We are like a sesame seed with respect to this Universe. If you see, what is our significance in this universe; what is life? Next to nothing, like a sesame seed – a mere speck! We are minuscule. This is the inner reason for consuming and sharing sesame based preparations, on this day.
We are also tiny and sweet; delightful like sesame seeds with jaggery. So stay small and sweet and you will truly become big. And if you think you are very big and important in any field or aspect, the downfall will begin. This is the experiential truth. We see that this is what happens in the lives of thousands of people. The moment arrogance comes up, or the delusion that ‘I am something’, the decline begins. I am very powerful – that is it, power begins to diminish. Just like there is oil in a sesame seed, there is God in this universe. He is there in every heart. This is the knowledge of the self.
You can sit for a few moments, morning and evening, observe silence and ponder, ‘What is this life? How long will I be here; maybe two days, ten or twenty years or even fifty years? As long as I am here, what do I need from this world? What can I give to this world before I leave?’.
I would say four things are needed: Shakti, Bhakti, Yukti (skill) and Mukti (freedom). If even one of these is lacking, life would not be successful. To succeed in society, strength and skill are needed, and if you want to experience success in personal or spiritual life, devotion and liberation are needed. We need to move along with all four. This will strengthen the spirit of the people .
Devotion is the gist of life, the very essence of this world; hold on to it, do not let go of it. Then see the tremendous increase in our self-confidence. New ideas begin to arise and skills are developed, troubles and botherations drop off.
Wishing you all Happy Makar Sankranti!

CIVILIZATION JUST SENT A MESSAGE
While Silicon Valley debates whether AI will end humanity, a 19-year-old in Varanasi just proved what can never be automated.
Vedamurti Devavrat Mahesh Rekhe completed the Dandakrama Parayanam: 2,000 mantras of the Shukla Yajurveda recited flawlessly over 50 days without a single interruption.
The first human to achieve this in over 200 years.
Not downloaded. Not prompted. Transmitted mouth to ear across 5,000 years of unbroken memory, predating every empire that rose and fell while this chain continued.
The leader of 1.4 billion people personally honored him. Not a billionaire. Not an influencer. A teenager who mastered what his ancestors mastered, in the exact city where they mastered it, using the exact method they used.
Here is what the modern world cannot compute:
No algorithm can replicate this. No server can store it. When the lights go out and the data centers fail, this tradition will still be passing from guru to disciple in the same sacred city where it has lived for millennia.
The West builds monuments to remember.
India builds people who ARE the monuments.
Every civilization that abandoned its transmission chains is now archaeology. Every civilization that maintained them is still here, still speaking, still breathing.
This is not nostalgia. This is not religion. This is the most sophisticated information preservation technology ever developed by humans: the living voice, the trained mind, the unbroken chain.
Empires end. Traditions do not.
A 19-year-old just proved it.
The Ascent Begins.
Knowledge, as we know it, is something that you remember, whether it is from the recent past, a split second ago, or years ago. It is, therefore, memory – a thing of the past. On the other hand, Brahman, the Ultimate Reality, is never a memory, never a thing of the past. It is the living present, the eternal, immediate present and, therefore, can never be comprehended by knowledge, which has only the past as reference.

The Only Thing You Should Ask God For (And It’s Not What You Think!) 💫
@Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar ji says, “When you ask something from God, He gives it to you — and then you take it and go away. That’s when God becomes free from you.
But don’t let God go free like that! Don’t say, ‘Give me this, give me that, remove my troubles.’
Instead, say, ‘I want only You.’
See, what do demons do? They also do penance. When God appears and asks, ‘What do you want?’ they say, ‘I want wealth, power, pleasures.’
God says, ‘Alright, take it,’ and lets them go.
Demons remain demons — and God becomes free from them.
But God is very clever… and you can be even more clever!
Tell Him, ‘O Lord, your tricks won’t work on me. Don’t tempt me with small things and send me away. I want only You. I won’t take anything less than You.’
When such a longing arises in your heart, you are immersed in love and devotion.
And that, Gurudev says, is Siddhi — the greatest accomplishment.
There is no higher Siddhi than pure love and devotion.
One devotee even said, ‘O Lord, I won’t just worship You — I will go mad in Your love!’
This is the highest dimension of devotion — where there is only joy, laughter, and divine play.” 🌸
