They didn't kill the cancer. They told it to go home.
A team of Korean scientists at KAIST just pulled off something that sounds like science fiction.
Instead of nuking colon cancer cells with chemo or radiation, they convinced them to turn back into normal, healthy colon cells.
No killing. No collateral damage. Just a quiet U-turn at the cellular level.
Here's how it works.
Led by Professor Kwang-Hyun Cho at the Department of Bio and Brain Engineering, the team built a "digital twin" of the gene network that controls how a normal cell becomes cancerous.
They ran simulations. They hunted for the exact moment a healthy cell flips into a malignant one.
Then they found the switches.
Three master regulator genes — MYB, HDAC2, and FOXA2 — were the keys to the whole transformation.
Flip those switches back, and the cancer cell stops behaving like a cancer cell. It starts looking and acting like a normal enterocyte, the kind of cell that lines a healthy intestine.
No gene editing. No permanent rewiring. Just the body's own natural signals, used in reverse.
The team confirmed it in molecular experiments, cellular experiments, and animal studies. The malignant cells stopped multiplying out of control and went back to doing their actual job.
The research has already been handed off to a company called BioRevert Inc. to develop into real-world treatments.
This isn't a cure tomorrow. But it rewrites the entire playbook for how we think about cancer.
You don't always have to destroy the enemy.
Sometimes you just have to remind it who it used to be.

@TheSisqui I hope all is well on your end champ. I'm noticing in your games that you're not prone to using the missiles when your opponents are off stage. I think you should integrate this strategy into your arsenal as it's quite annoying when using the bombs at the ledge.
Good #Samus users "Flow" - Attacks connecting fluidly to each other, as if we're telling our opponents what to do. The average combo should deliver over 60% of damage if you know what you're doing
This new @TheSisqui is giving me champion vibes. That win against Gluttony was well-deserved and long overdue. This is the #Samus I have been looking for. #SmashBrosUltimate
Teaser beat Shadic by standing still and shooting during particular moments of the match. That's absolutely simplifying it. However, we know it was absolutely backed by skill. #SmashBrosUltimate
Zair is like a lasso and it attacks from the top or bottom depending on your jump. Jumping forward causes zair to rise, while jumping backwards causes it to fall. I use zair like this to cover opponents on or below a platform.
Thoughts on #Samus in Ultimate:
Watching some competitive Samus players underuse her arsenal is nerve-wracking. Missile, other forms of charge shot and down smash exist for a reason. From observation, 5 or less missiles are fired per round. (21-35 min max - best of 3 or 5)
Did you know regular charge shot, zair, jab and up-tilt can frame trap/stun your opponents for longer combos, depending on your spacing and their damage level?
Up close: landing zair, jab to down tilt, or any other attack.
Afar: Zair, charge shot, dash attack or missile
Also, players are not used to seeing a Samus user main zair vs charge shot. Or, focus on tilts and zairs, while making them forget charge shot exists. Surprise, here's that attack you forgot I had. Or, catch them with zair train mid air lol. Crack them 3x with a jumping zair.
I want to see Samus take a Super Major. I'm pointing this out so hopefully it happens within the lifespan of the game rn now. For them to take a dub, we gotta adjust our playstyle. I may have what I suggested down, but I'm also working on the cancels, and better movement.
Yall have the movement, cancels and mind games down. The only thing missing the extra spice in using her full arsenal. There's so much more to Samus than shoot and run. I only know this from watching and losing so much in my competitive life.
I’m getting really into collecting/playing yugioh. Both online and real life. I have like 1000 questions but I’m not sure who to talk to. I really want to optimize my two decks I play online and in real life and find the best way to collect cards in their most valuable rarities. Would appreciate any advice
