Oscar Waisanen came out the gates hot for Benilde-St. Margaret’s in section play in Thursday.

The @pb_uncommitted 2027 was 87-89 with a fastball that showed plenty of arm-side action paired with a sharp slider at 77-79.

Creates tough angles for hitters. Has struck out 79 in 45 innings this spring.

Jace Mataczynski is a part of a dying breed of athlete.

Multi-sport stud who didn't start to "specialize" in baseball until much later in his HS career. He just averaged 24.5 PPG in basketball this winter and he credits basketball with helping him become a stellar shortstop as a lanky 6-foot-4 kid just figuring out how to use his limbs.

Now, he's got three more HRs than he does Ks (10:7) this spring all while MLB scouts flock to his games.
