You're suppose to apologies for your "privilege" & put yourself behind everyone. Those deemed with the most oppression is given moral authority. No longer examining soundness of your argument or content of character, identity is stressed on maximizing power.

We have to completely reimagine our broken food systemโand that means putting an end to factory farming. The future calls for a transition to more sustainable agriculture practices that are better for farmers, consumers, animals, and our environment.

Cancel culture is used by those who are thin skin, avoid critical thinking & refuse discussions. If your aim is progress you must learn to discuss hard & uncomfortable topics, you don't get that by silencing others.

Fighting racism with racism is like trying to put out a fire with gas. It will perpetuate more anger and hate rather than achieving solutions towards safety, equality, harmony, and peaceful coexistence.

@SKLynx2@ForSoohyun I think the question becomes do we sacrifice the rights of a small minority to benefit a majority, or respect everyone equally? Personally I wouldn't want my rights ignored regardless if I'm a minority or not, but I know other ppl disagree so something to think about ๐ค
@SKLynx2@ForSoohyun The indigenous people are focused on trying to preserve & live off the land. They feel it's all they have left from their ancestors & I think it's also about defending the principle to be recognized they own the land. Those might be some reasons they refuse to meet with anyone...
@SKLynx2@ForSoohyun Indigenous ppl are forced to take steps in court & prove they own the land, which is difficult since a lot of them lack funding. The gov has the upper hand since it's not officially settled on paper, so in the mean time they treat the land like it's theirs until proven otherwise.
@SKLynx2@ForSoohyun I think this is where the issue is. The government doesn't have paperwork to say it's theirs, so naturally you'd think the indigenous ppl would be recognized to own the land. But they don't have it written down on paper either, so the gov is treating the land like a wild west...
@SKLynx2@ForSoohyun ...Because of this Indigenous from BC are still fighting for the recognition of their land since they never agreed to any treaty, and feel the pipeline is invading their territory since they never gave permission to build.
@SKLynx2@ForSoohyun To your first question: BC is in a unique situation, the indigenous ppl across Canada have signed off their land to the crown & agree to own their reserves, except BC. They are the only province who hasn't done this so that's why indigenous people still own a majority of land...
Latinos include Asian descendants. During the period of 1908 in Japan, poverty drove many Japanese farmers to look overseas in search of a new life, particularly in the Americas. It was in Sรฃo Paulo's coffee plantations where the community thrived. #Latina#Latino#LatinoHistory
