At best, the results are speaking about the people of York, not whole Britain.
It could really well mean men in other parts of Britain are more or less educated than in York.

Additionally, it matters how the data is collected. Is there any bias on how the participants were chosen? What is the data source?

The men who dont care to do that are likely not quite available for debate.
