Congratulations to Ebony Barnet (Year 9) who represented Billanook College at All High Schools Athletic Championships. She came Runner Up in Hammer throw with a PB of 40.17m and 6th in Discus and Shotput. Ebony will now represent Victoria in The National Athletics Championships.

To celebrate #IWD2020, our past students Carissa Bennett (2003) Miyu Shimoda (2015) Kate Hutchinson (2014) and Dr. Emma Kerr (Brown) (2012) joined our Year 10 girls for breakfast, sharing their views on issues that impact young woman, under this years theme #EachforEqual
The Class of 2019 performed exceptionally well in their VCE, with over 40% achieving an ATAR in the top 20% of the State.
Yesterday we formally recognised their achievements and inducted our 2020 Student Leadership Team. We look forward to their contributions to our College.

On Tuesday, Year 8 students trekked off to the zoo, for a magical day of working on Languages tasks. The German, Indonesian and DPFC tasks all challenged students in different ways, but one thing that was clear was that all students engaged beautifully with their roles at the zoo
Our students recognised IDAHOBIT Day - International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, Interphobia and Transphobia today with a touch of rainbow. Our Live at Lunch performances were enjoyed by all!

Our VCE Theatre Studies students attended two MTC productions this week, ‘The Violent Outburst That Drew Me To You’ and ‘Cosi’. Students completed production analysis activities in line with their curriculum.
We were fortunate to witness the MSO in rehearsal at Hamer Hall.
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old;
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.

Our Year 8 delegation is off- off and away, touring through Beijing on Billanook’s 2019 Cultural Tour. As a component of their Discovery Learning Program, students are exploring the Round Square IDEALS within an international context.
