You guys, sorry my post was so late today, but we have a huge storm coming to Texas and are expecting some flooding. I had to meet my son-in-law halfway because he has to work, but he said, "Mama, I will feel better and I know you will too if I bring your daughter and grandkids to you because you’re in a no flood area!" Y’all, I screamed, because I had already planned to go to her after work anyway, cuz either we all drown or we all dry, hahaha!
But yes, I got my babies, did some shopping for my neighbors, and now we’re all hunkered down waiting out this mess with my sister and nieces.
And while waiting, I watched some videos of Charlotte… (grabs my heart, I swear I love this girl like my very own kid).
That contrast is night and day, and honestly, it brings tears to the eyes just thinking about it. Remembering how heavy, tense, and downright painful things were on her birthday last year being put on the spot and publicly scolded on what should have been her special day makes seeing her now all the more powerful.
That birthday blessing prayer from last year is an image so many fans will never forget. It was painful to watch because you could feel the weight of everything she was enduring in real time. Looking back, it really feels like that moment was the turning point the absolute breaking point before the breakthrough. It tested her strength, but it also lit a fire.
And now, seeing her planning a birthday trip doing her birthday on her terms, looking so radiant, healthy, and genuinely at peace, feels like complete poetic justice. She is healing, reclaiming her joy, and choosing to spend her milestone surrounded by the people who actually love, value, and protect her peace instead of corporate control.
As a smart, educated woman, everything she’s navigated has only given her knowledge. To again quote Sansa Stark: "I'm a slow learner, it's true. But I learn." That’s our Charlotte. She survived the storm, took the lesson, and turned the whole game around.
She truly deserves every single ounce of this happiness, freedom, and success! What a magnificent turnaround for our girl! 💛✨
