Been working on an e-commerce concept for Mae N’ Women.
I wanted the brand to feel premium, warm, and inclusive without making the shopping experience unnecessarily complicated.

You can be happy for another writer's success and still feel a small ache about your own waiting season. Both feelings can exist. Neither makes you a terrible person.
A company can appreciate your hard work and still decide not to promote you. Appreciation isn't the same as career progression. If you've consistently delivered results but have no clear path forward, ask what you need to demonstrate, agree on measurable expectations and evaluate whether the company can realistically offer the growth you want.
@Sandrameria Hey, Sarah! I’d love to hear more about the project. I’m a junior UI/UX designer looking to take on more practical projects, and this sounds like a great opportunity. I’ve sent you a DM!
If you want to win as a techie.
First know that tech is hard.
Want better clients?
Stop building a portfolio for designers.
Build one for founders.
Founders don’t buy pretty screens.
They buy outcomes.
Attend events and spaces.
Be a Design leader not just a spectator.
Be Likeable, be fun, be easygoing.
Presentation matters a lot. You can have the best work but shows it in a boring way. Show it with motion. Spectacle.
Leverage Ai. I can’t stress this enough. Go for Cohorts. @druids01 is hosting one. I highly recommend.
Show a lifestyle outside of tech. You’re human. You connect with people that way.
Lastly Work like a mad man. Work like your next meal depend on it. Challenges will come so be delusional. Have crazy faith. It will help you. Tech is hard.
