The "elections" in Russia are a joke because Russia is a filthy, stinking dictatorship.

A three-day election for the State Duma is taking place in Russia from September 18 to 20.

Details:

The Kremlin has organized the vote not only within Russia but also in temporarily occupied Ukrainian territories—Crimea and the occupied parts of the Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson regions. Ukraine recognizes neither these elections nor their results;

At the same time, the electoral process within Russia is taking place under conditions where a significant portion of opposition forces is barred from participating. Politicians face the threat of administrative and criminal prosecution, and some government opponents have left the country;

Ten parties are on the ballot. "Yabloko"—the only registered party to have openly spoken out against Russia's war on Ukraine—was excluded from the election;

Participating parties include "United Russia," the KPRF, the LDPR, "New People," "A Just Russia – For Truth," the Pensioners' Party, "Communists of Russia," "Rodina," the Greens, and the Party of Direct Democracy. They all support the Kremlin's policy regarding the war on Ukraine or raise no objections to it;

Even as voting begins, reports are emerging regarding pressure on election observers, the mobilization of public sector employees, and potential violations. The Russian Central Election Commission has also warned of likely mobile network and internet disruptions during the election;

Furthermore, there are reports that Russian citizens were added to lists for at-home voting without having submitted a request. Such incidents were reported particularly in the Altai region;

Polling stations opened first in Kamchatka and Chukotka.

Voting is also taking place abroad, involving Russian citizens currently staying in other countries.

In Moscow, malfunctions involving electronic voting terminals were reported at at least two polling stations: after a passport was scanned, the system would freeze or immediately register the individual as having already voted.

Early voting began as early as late August in certain regions of Russia—specifically for residents of remote areas and for Russian military personnel at the front.

❗️ The EU will not recognize the results of the Russian elections held in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.

The video shows footage of early voting in the occupied part of the Donetsk region. As you can see, armed security personnel are present—alongside voters and commission members.

I saw a real missile made by North Korea in Ukraine. I did not see a Chinese missile. But I know that their technologies get to Russia. The machinery they use comes from China, likely along with smart people and technologies.

I don’t see China pushing Russia to stop the war. I never saw that. Maybe they do that during some of their bilateral meetings. I don’t know. But I think that they have huge influence over Russia, especially now, when there are a lot of sanctions, the shadow fleet, and cut-off energy and banking systems. Of course, China can find a way to push Putin toward negotiations. I’m sure, but they didn’t do it. And if you can and don’t, is it support or not?

It’s a pity that China is not on our side in this war, politically. It’s not even about weapons. It’s about political will. And it’s a pity because this war can be stopped immediately by strong leaders, including China. It’s a pity that they are not on our side. But that’s not the problem. That’s a pity. The problem is that they are not in the middle. Because they are a little bit more with Russia. And for them to be a little bit more with Russia – I mean, not to give weapons directly, but to be more open to them, more helpful to them than to us – for such a big country, a little bit is a lot.

A major coordinated sabotage attack was just carried out against railway infrastructure in at more than 20 locations in the Netherlands.

Die geografische Konzentration wirft dennoch eine sicherheitspolitisch relevante Frage auf: Dient der Ausbau ausschließlich der Versorgung von Verwundeten aus der Ukraine – oder schafft Russland zugleich Kapazitäten für mögliche weitere militärische Operationen im Nordwesten?

Der Artikel nennt beide Erklärungen. Eine Quelle verweist auf überlastete Krankenhäuser und die leistungsfähige medizinische Infrastruktur St. Petersburgs. Andere vermuten, dass auch die Nähe zu möglichen künftigen Einsatzräumen eine Rolle spielt.

Sollte sich der Ausbau bestätigen, wäre er ein relevanter Hinweis auf Russlands längerfristige militärische Planung und die sieht bisher, entgegen Trumps Aussagen, nicht so aus als sei Russland besonders an Frieden interessiert.

Putin invests heavily in destabilising Germany and other European nations, especially ahead of elections. He sees himself at war with Europe and aims to win it by undermining European states from within.

Russia’s goal is to interfere in domestic affairs, manipulate public opinion, and exploit the most sensitive and divisive topics.

We once again urge European governments to take this threat seriously, uncover Russia’s malicious influence, and take urgent and strong action against any Russian presence in Europe: close remaining Russian diplomatic and cultural footholds, sanction enablers, ban all Russian propaganda, tighten counterintelligence cooperation, and adopt other countermeasures.

As one of the most experienced nations in countering Russian influence, Ukraine is ready to share its valuable experience upon our partners’ request.
