Why did it have to take the crossing of oceans for neighbors who could just have walked to each other's doorstep and call the animosity off?
African "leaders" need to get serious and leave the leadership space to sober and empathetic enough beings!
Accompanied H.E. President @WilliamsRuto to his official and historic mission to the USA between 3rd and 6th December 2025.
At the invitation of President @realDonaldTrump, H.E. William Ruto joined leaders from the Great Lakes region to witness the signing of the Washington Accord between Rwanda and the DRC that offers a framework for ending the three decade old conflict and crisis in Eastern DRC, and driving towards a secure, stable, prosperous DRC. Welcoming this signing and commending the leaders for their commitment, H.E. the President underscored the value of peace for the citizens of the DRC, regional stability and prosperity of Africa and humanity as a whole.
Earlier today H.E. the President held a bilateral meeting with Secretary of State @SecRubio on, among other issues, the deepening cooperation in efforts to pursue peace at the regional level in the Greater Horn of Africa where Kenya is a strong anchor state. The SoS singled out Kenya’s leadership in Haiti where our contingent has distinguished itself professionally, building a strong foundation for a successor mission.
This meeting was followed by the signing of an agreement in the health sector, the first of its kind since the policy review by the Trump administration.

Geoffrey Ouma, a 28-year-old boda boda rider working in Rongai, was married to Ann Mbone. Early last year, the couple had a serious quarrel. Ann left for Mombasa and abandoned their four-year-old child with Geoffrey. After some time, she returned home. When Geoffrey asked her where she had been all that time, Ann replied that she was a grown woman and should not be questioned like that. In that moment, Geoffrey slapped her.Ann did not react immediately. She waited until midnight when Geoffrey was asleep, then took a knife and stabbed him multiple times in the neck, stomach, and chest.Despite his serious wounds, Geoffrey managed to get up, ran outside, and screamed for help. Neighbors and his uncle quickly responded. They put him in a vehicle and rushed him to the hospital. On the way, Geoffrey narrated what had happened before he succumbed to excessive bleeding and died.Ann Mbone was in the same car but made no attempt to escape. She was arrested immediately at the scene. In early April 2025, she was charged with manslaughter and remanded at Lang’ata Women’s Prison. The case is still progressing through the Kenyan justice system at its usual slow pace.
NTSA, this is a citizen complaint.
Blinding headlights on Kenyan roads have become a serious safety issue.
Matatus.
Boda bodas.
Buses.
Private cars.
Some vehicles are no longer using headlights. They are carrying portable suns.
Every night, drivers are forced to slow down, squint, or drive blindly because an oncoming vehicle has turned the road into a stadium.
At highway speeds, a few seconds without clear vision is enough.
Dear NTSA, do you need our help identifying these vehicles?
Because Kenyans meet them every night.
We know the routes.
We see the offenders.
We experience the danger.
Maybe giving Kenyans a better night driving experience has not been urgent enough.
But here is the interesting part:
You can actually fine them.
Maybe the revenue opportunity will finally motivate action where public complaints have failed.
Fine them. Remove unsafe modifications. Make the roads safer.
Road safety is not only about speed cameras and checkpoints.
Sometimes it starts by allowing drivers to see where they are going.
Tag NTSA.
Repost until night drivers are heard.

The @KWSKenya is assessing a suspected chemical discharge incident in the Mlolongo Athi Dam ecosystem, raising serious environmental and public health concerns.
Officers observed abnormal foamy water inflows entering the park characterized by white, effervescent bubbles, continuous flow and unnatural coloration consistent with possible chemical contamination.
